Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Gran Canaria Mogan

Loved this hotel, we stayed for 7 nights as an adult family and had two rooms with abdvadjoining door. Roo are spotless and very well equipped with a massive double bed. One thing we learned was only a small number of adjoining rooms have one room with twin beds and they go early. We were advised to email in advance if we went again however they fixed the issue with the sofabed present in each room. That saved our adult son and daughter having to share a bed which wasn't going down well. Breakfast is 7am to 11am each day so no need to get up early however we did find it was busy after 10am but this wasn't an issue. The breakfast selection is immense with something for everyone and fresh juice and coffee. The hotel has two pools one is more family orientated with a kids area and is salt water which we really liked, no chlorine apparent. The pools were busy but each room has either a balcony or patio with chairs and sun loungers so if you can't get by the pool you can still relax. Having said that we never failed to get near the pool. The other pool is in a more quiet area and was really lovely to swim in, our rooms were ground floor leading out near this pool. We tried the Spa which was great and there are a whole range of treatments if you desire them The hotel can arrange car hire and we hired a small car for a couple of days for €90 as we wanted to explore and also needed to take my daughter to the airport as she had to come home early. The taxi fare one way would have been more than the car hire and the airport is only 35 mins away. Mogan is a beautiful port with the hotel set at the top of a shallow valley and about a 1km walk down tovan abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. We found two great ice cream shops and enjoyed a daily walk down to the harbour in the afternoons for ice cream. There are so many good restaurants here we ate at a few and were not disappointed. This is a quiet family friendly place and hotel, we had a lovely break and would definitely return. Only thing I would change is the transfer, it was 90mins on the way there and 2 hours on the way back due to the coach stops on the way, a private taxi would've better albeit more expensive. Highly recommended.

First time to resort, family of 5, older kids. We went with a 2 bedroom suite, 3028 perfect location on ground floor and walked straight to pool across the grass. Room very spacious and very clean. Only negative on our room but didn’t cause an issue, master bedroom en-suite had the clouded door missing but no real big deal and never mentioned it, The main bathroom no locks on the door with 16-17 boys they leave the door open but for the 14 year old daughter slight privacy would have helped. Breakfast very busy but loads of options available. Lunch was always good. We never had diner so can’t comment. Pools yes we had 3 closer’s over the 9 days which I was surprised at as seems a lot and had to guess it was this. Location was lovey for a relaxing holiday and headed down for dinner most nights into the Harbour/Beach loads to choose from, a few restaurants shut as well not sure if just not busier enough. Overall we would go back, I would say 4 star and definitely book the suite again.

Hotel is beautiful. Staff are wonderful. Ailen from reception, in particular, really stood out. She was kind, friendly and very helpful. Everyone was lovely but she was especially great! An assess to front of house for sure. Location is very central, nice walk down to the marina in Mogán. Would recommend car hire as well, it gave us the freedom to go wherever we like! Parking at the Hotel is free and easy to use. Food was good, plenty variety and fresh. Everywhere is very clean and well maintained, rooms are lovely too! We’ll be back! See you next year xx
