If you’re looking for a relaxing break in the Canary Islands, Pierre & Vacances in Fuerteventura is a solid choice. It’s also in a great location—just a short drive from Corralejo and the stunning sand dunes, with beaches nearby if you’re into surfing or sunbathing. It’s affordable, easygoing, and a great base for exploring the island while still having the option to kick back and do nothing at all.

If I could give 3.5 or 3.75 I would - 4 seems too high though Firstly, we had a great holiday. We'd read the reviews and were worried but also had realistic expectations and got what we expected. The welcome by Sebastian on reception was brilliant - so friendly and got us off to a great start. Crater park is amazing for the kids - personally I didn't find sun lounger situation too bad. It doesn't happen until 10am and people would queue from about 9.30am ISH but likewise you could arrive closer to 10am and still get something. I've stayed places where you have to get up at 7am to get sun loungers so this was nice! Couple of times we arrived late afternoon from beach- everything taken but never had too long a wait to see someone leaving The villa let the hols down really - it was basic and run-down. To be honest the whole site has a run down feel about it. As we'd feared we were one of the furthest villas away from everything and it felt very isolated. Blinds kept sticking and we'd have to ring maintenance. Only mirror was in the main bathroom (1bed villa) and this made getting ready and absolute nightmare with four of us. Resorted to straightening my hair in front of a phone that my son had to hold up for me! And doing make up in a tiny compact mirror. Not good. But it didn't spoil the holiday - you get what you pay for and this was a cheaper hols than usual. Food was generally ok - could normally find something nice. Kids area could have had more options - eg do chicken nuggets and pizzas as well as hot dogs every night. Things kept running out in the main buffet, as well as glasses, ice and wine one night. The staff were working super hard and fast - I guess they just need more of them. Also need to open both juice machines - they were so slow and queues built up. We hired a car which was a great choice - visited carralejo a few times for fantastic meals and shopping. The sand dunes are absolutely beautiful with sun loungers and parasols for 9 euros. Overall a nice holiday which reflected the price
