Great villa and pool. Good quality buffet. Disappointed to find villa refurb happening opposite. Been fairly quiet but car blocked in due to crane parked in road delivering a new hot tub. Surely this is an off season activity? Wasn’t told about any of this activity when booked or when checked in.

Another fantastic fortnight at Bahiazul After 4 vacations at this resort I thought it was about time I gave them a review. I’ve recently read the reviews about this place and was disappointed to see some negatives, like all resorts even the luxury ones, not all of them will satisfy people. However, Bahiazul do try to get it right, after 20 years of operating they are now in the midst of a long overdue upgrade to their villas, and having just recently having the pleasure of staying in one of the upgrades I have to say they are pulling out all the stops. I’ve read reviews from people having a pop about the staff, let me just say this, in 4 visits I have never encountered any rudeness or negativity from any of the staff, I’ve found them to be friendly, helpful and courteous and will always greet you with a smile and and a welcome. The villas and pools are cleaned to a high standards, The Wi-Fi isn’t the strongest so my recommendation to you would be to go to reception and ask for a Wi-Fi booster. The food in the main restaurant from breakfast through to evening dinner is fantastic and have a different themed night 7 nights a week with Friday night also being BBQ night. Keep up the good work Bahiazul and hope to see you again next year 😎☀️

Came here as a family of three adults and stayed in a Royal Villa for a week We came last year Once again we had a fabulous time. The villa was really clean and well appointed. The complex is well located Breakfast was brilliant - such a wide and varied choice. We ate in the restaurant on two evenings - Japanese and Italian. Both were excellent but the Japanese really stood out, everything was perfection The staff as always were really friendly and helpful and always had a smile Overall we had no complaints and we will definitely return

This resort has good and bad features. We certainly enjoyed our holiday but it was not the wow we were expecting and the “5 star” standard is not the same to comparable hotels on other Canary Islands. The biggest disappointment for our family was the pool area. The palm tree in the centre which is featured on all social media posts (unless you have the different type of villa which has a hot tub by the pool) was missing. It was replaced a dirty tub with dead sticks in it. It looked dreadful. If the tree had died I understand it can’t be immediately replaced but I’m sure a nicer replacement could have been found without much effort. I did call reception immediately and was told we could not move villas. Since emailing my disappointment the hotel have referred me to their website stating the trees and plants around the pool are not listed features so don’t book thinking you’ll definitely get them. Another disappointment of the pool was a green dirt line around the waters edge on the whole pool. I rubbed part of it off on arrival with a cloth which meant it was lack of cleaning rather than staining. Even on the day our pool was cleaned it remained. A similar orange line was around the hot tub which also wiped off. Both looked unpleasant. Rooms and pools are only cleaned every 4th day. I felt this was poor considering the cost of the holiday. I would have expected every second day. I echo what other guests have said about poor maintenance. The whole villa needed redecorating. Cracked tiles and paint damage throughout. The bathrooms were also very old and desperately needed refreshing. It is also important to note that the whole bedroom/en-suite is open plan in bedroom 2 and 3 so you can’t even shut the door to go to the loo! My teenagers sharing a room were not impressed! On a positive, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The villa was spacious and cool. The staff were all lovely and friendly and helpful. The food was extremely good and varied and we’re pleased to have chosen half board. In summary, I believe the resort has deteriorated since last year (based on the reviews I read before booking) and needs some investment and is not 5 star. We have previously stayed at Baobab Suites in Tenerife which I highly recommend. We would not return to Bahiazul.

If you take the time to read a few of the recent reviews you will see that the resort is under going a lot of refurbishment work on a number of Villas, which is needed. The refurbishment work isn't just paint and furnishings, it is drilling channels in walls all day every day Monday to Friday. If you are booking a Villa to spend time in it, forget it. It is a great place to stay, but not when the noise levels are so high that you cant even have a conversation with your partner. I would avoid at all costs until all refurbishment work is completed on the resort. They wont advise you about the refurbishment work when you book. I have attached some pics of the channels that were drilled in the next door Villa during our wasted stay.

My 5th stay to this resort and certainly not my last -I upgraded to Villa Excellence for my birthday and so happy I did - it was a beautiful villa - as always a warm welcome and gifts on arrival in villa so we didn’t need to go shopping on our first night. Spent 3 lovely evenings in the restaurant and Ricardo was lovely and made us feel welcome - as was everyone at this resort - got a cab easily into the resort by the lovely security man. The service we had in This villa was amazing and service impeccable. I have already booked to go back in December - a special thank you to reception - always a warm welcome and made me feel special - thank you for a wonderful stay

Relaxing 4 day break in May half term with my daughter. The villas are beautiful and clean. They have everything you could need. The resort is peaceful. The breakfast was lovely. 2 supermarkets are a 5 min walk away. Taxi into centre only €7. If you want a peaceful break away I would definitely recommend. I will be returning.

With private Building work going on in the adjacent villa and Kangos and Angle grinders on the go from 9-5 the noise and uncontrolled dust contamination is insufferable. If we could get an early flight home we’d be gone. It is a terrible experience.
