This hotel is a converted castle. We came here to stay in this castle hotel because we wanted to visit the town's palace, Spain's little "Versailles", and because we were attracted by its reputation. Although the facilities in the room are old, the decoration style of the hotel's public space is still good and tasteful. There is not even coffee, tea, or a kettle in the room. I don't know if they forgot or it's not included in the standard configuration. The gym is very small, but the gyms in European hotels are not big. I don't know if it discriminates against Chinese guests, but this hotel arranged my room at the end of the corridor, farthest from the elevator. It is very physically demanding to drag two boxes in and out of the carpeted corridor (the porter is still missing and no one serves me even if I want to tip). The Castle Hotel in Toledo where I stayed today also gave me the room farthest from the elevator. Is it because Ctrip's agreed price is too low and the hotel deliberately leaves this "little hardship" to the guests?

The Parador is a first-class hotel structure with an excellent location.

Hotel is very well located, with good facilities. Breakfast is very good, and also with many varieties of gluten-free products. Visiting La Granja was a highlight of our trip. I had always wanted to try a parador, and we were fortunate enough to select La Granja, which we greatly enjoyed. First, the building is unique and beautiful. The common areas were stunning and our room was very comfortable from the room size to the well equipped bathroom. Bed was a little firm for my taste, but my husband loved it. The restaurant was physically lovely, the service was quite good and the food terrific. The location is in a small town, but actually offers quite a bit to do nearby. In walking distance in the town itself are the Palacio which is beautiful and not as overrun with visitors as some we visited. The Glass factory was also quite interesting and worth a visit. Also in town are quite a few quaint small restaurants/cafes, and we visited several were authentically local and that we quite enjoyed...using google translate to make things work when English was not spoken but that added to the adventure. The hotel offers free parking only a short block away, so it's easy to then explore the area with Segovia only a small 20 minute drive. We also visited the Escorial and Valley of the Fallen (each about one hour away) comfortably during our stay at La Granja. The staff was quite accommodating and pleasant from the front desk folks to the restaurant servers and the housekeeping staff. All in all, after the bustle of Madrid, our stay at the beautiful parador of La Granja was a wonderful mix of a slightly slower pace but still with plenty to do and see. Highly recommend staying at this property.

What an amazing hotel! Lovely interior, large rooms and so quiet. There were no tea making facilities in the room, however a kettle, cups and spoons were provided upon request. Staff very friendly. Lovely breakfast. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, due to the late dining times. The hotel is just a short walk from the Royal Palace, which was well worth a visit. We parked in the free car park just across the road, near to a back entrance gate to the hotel.

Viajamos en familia a pasar un finde en La Granja. Ir a Paradores para nosotros es como sentirse en casa, los estándarse de amabilidad y atención de la cadena se situan muy por encima de las demás alternativas.
