This hotel was conveniently located for our travel plans to Gidding and for Round Top antique show. The hotel room was very nice and the staff were very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and a great start to get us going for the day. We will definitely stay here again if our travel is anywhere in this part of Texas!

Friendly accommodating staff, comfy beds, close to greater San Antonio and Comal and Guadalupe River communities and restaurants. Reasonable rates, breakfast included, HEB is not far for supplies. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

We spent one night in La Grange to attend a show at the Bugle Boy (highly recommended). I am surprised to see so many negative reviews of this hotel. Staff members were courteous and cordial, room was small but clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good and quite adequate. Wifi was down due to a severe storm, but that's not the hotel's fault. I would stay there again.

Nice facility, located in the West end of town. The staff was very friendly, and check in was simple and fast. The room was nice, with desk, and a small refrigerator. The breakfast options were nice, and there is is a nice area to eat in. Will definitely stay here in the future. This is also close to Warrenton and Round Top if you are looking for a place to stay on antique show weekends.

Horrific accommodations and service. I am shocked that this is a Hilton property. If you’re relying on the $50 pet fee, be forewarned that they charged $75 despite what website says. Also staff is rude, and rooms are damp (carpet felt wet), and wallpaper was peeling in our bathroom. Pretty gross. AND I requested a crib or pack & play on my reservation. When I asked if It was already in the room at check-in, the woman said no but then handed me an unassembled pack & play to carry to my room. Never have I stayed anywhere where the crib or pack & play was not actually delivered to my room. I also had to request the snack and water bottle that is a Hilton Honors perk, and she checked my status to confirm I’m a gold membet (I had just checked in so she should have known my status and welcomed me with the snack). This is my first ever negative review, but it was such a bad experience on every level. I reported the overcharge to the front desk at checkout and was told the owner increased the pet fee even though the website says $50, and the front desk was instructed to tell guests who complain about this to contact Hilton corporate (which I did a week before writing this review, hoping to have the issue resolved privately). WHAT??? Unacceptable. Hilton has apologized but said to expect a refund and response directly from the Hampton Inn. Still I have not received either. This is absurd. I am absolutely enraged that this Hampton Inn has a consistent deceptive pattern and practice of overcharging people. I have even called and left a message to speak to the manager but have heard nothing back.

Two reasons for this rating. First, we apparently got a room where the carpet had just been cleaned. There was a heavy chemical smell and the carpet was damp. We didn’t ask for a different room because it was midnight and we were dead tired. The next morning, the front desk admitted the mistake, said we never should have been assigned to that room. However, she didn’t offer any compensation for the mistake. Second, the breakfast was very lame. The eggs and sausage were tasteless. I have had worse, but not by much. I expect much more for $187. I will not stay here again. I will stay at the Best Western instead.

It has cramped rooms and with uncomfortable configuration. The vanity is outside the bathroom and not much space to put toiletries on. On top of that, the coffee maker is also on it. No space in the bathroom to put clothes on. Breakfast is limited in choices. The ice machine is only in the first floor.

My wife experienced one of the most humiliating unethical and disrespectful treatments by anyone in our life. The LaGrange hotel management are disrespectful and have zero customer service skills. The desk manager and the manager/owner Ms Patel treated us with incredible contempt and negative customer service. My wife was left with a yearlong reservation on the street and had to drive home early an unplanned trip as she was traveling with someone else Wednesday. To review the high level sequence of events: 1. We had a reservation for close to one year in advance for Sunday to Tuesday. From my Hilton App this day mid day. The dates still show through Tuesday. 2. My wife’s clothes, personal items, jewelry, and private layout of her room, as she was booked for one more night removed in a disrespectful unkept manner. Without calling my wife first in the morning to clarify the conflict. 3. The desk attendant admitted to my wife that someone last night between the hour of 11pm and 7am, terminated the next days reservation without a call or confirmation. Effectively arbitrarily breaching the room reservation. So they admit they changed the reservation and do not fix the problem. Just said sorry we’re booked. 4. So my wife needing to be respond to this emergency is pulled away from her business activities (1pm or so) to drive back to the hotel to have zero consideration and assistance for the circumstances. Unwilling to resolve the situation. Not sure why. We had a reservation, we did not cancel the reservation an employee did (arbitrarily) and her valuable personal goods tossed in the hallway lobby. 5. Distraught, inconvenienced, pulled away from her work, personally invaded with someone else touching and handling her personal goods, in other words understandably upset, like any one would, instead of the desk manager attempting to resolve the problem constructively, unwillingly said sorry we’re booked, calls the police called on my wife, versus taking care of her and solving the situation. Never have heard of such a horrible set of circumstances. I don’t believe that is Hiltons standard of treating customers.

My wife and I were in town for a relative’s celebration of life and needed a place to stay for one night. As a Hilton Diamond member, I always attempt to stay with the brand. Upon arrival, late at night, we had a difficult time finding the hotel, as the sign was partially burned out and located next to a small ***** mall. We checked in and were never offered the Diamond benefits by the clerk. When We asked about the Diamond benefits, which were displayed on the counter, the clerk said they were all out of the waters etc. No apology or anything. It was late so no big deal. After getting to our room, we went to get ice, which is located on the first floor at the rear of the hotel. The ice machine was apparently broken and would not produce ice. We went to the clerk who did not really care. I think we interrupted his tv show. The following morning, we wanted to get a little workout in before breakfast. Come to find out the gym is closed with the door papered over. Nothing on their website, at check-in or any other time did they tell us of these issues. As far as the room, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was nice and hot. Would We stay at this hotel again? Not if they fix these issues, there are not really too many options.
