3 star quality stay, but great view, spacious and friendly service is why I am rating it a 4. We came for one night here for a family wedding nearby.... We emailed a couple months in advance and called morning of to get an early checkin, and we did for a $25 fee (an extra hour early). ROOM: We stayed in the 4-bedroom townhome. They are pretty wooden outside. The inside is dark, but very spacious with quality (yet very dated) furniture. The rooms are tight, but the bathrooms and common areas are very spacious. Plenty of seating and a large deck. The view of Lake Darling is lovely. Not sure if someone stayed in the unit next to us, but we didn't hear anything. The TV's are small and dated, but work fine. The furnishing are nice, but again, very dated. They supply all you'd need in the kitchen, which was great. Beds are not comfortable, neither are the pillows, but we slept anyhow. Bathrooms were clean. Unlike some reviews, we didn't have any issues with stains, sticky floors or stained toilet or tubes. It was pretty clean to me and I am picky (could have just been the unit we had?). SERVICE: Check in and out was friendly and quick. Morning of, we were notified we would not have hot water and it would be on in an hour, which it was. Very odd. We did not use any of the amenities, nor did we eat at the restaurants, so I cannot say. Parking was no issue and felt there was ample parking in the area we were at. Looks like it has a nice golf course. Again, we really just stayed here and didn't do much else. Again, 3 star quality, and definitely overpriced $800 for one night. Would we come back? Not unless we had to stay up here in this area again.

So many things. The pullout couch was broken, the Chaco is extremely outdated. The room was hot and couldn’t get cooler. The pool and hot tub area of the hotel could use cleaning and the hot tub only had one jet that worked. Otherwise, staff were nice and the water park was good.

What a beautiful location. Too bad it is going downhill. Robotic check-in experience with stiff fee for checking in early (very strict). In some disrepair - it’s just showing its age. Main problem was dining. Buffet only. Dinner was pretty good but breakfast buffet was pathetic quality and wildly overpriced.

I have stayed at Arrowwood numerous times over the years and it has gone down to a 2 star property during this time. I have very reasonable expectations but the management this time is really what did it. Our cottage had a broken refrigerator, the first option provided was to bring us two small units from a hotel room. We had just bought hundreds of dollars of groceries and I knew it all would not fit, so a very nice engineer brought us a new fridge. After unloading, loading we were set to clean up the mess (sweep under fridge, water leak from fridge being removed) and go to dinner. Then that night we realized we had no hot water. The next morning someone came out and confirmed that the water heater was broken. So after dealing with the fridge, we now had to pack up our entire unit and move. This came after numerous calls to management and follow ups. I was always initiating the conversation. It took the majority of the morning, our anniversary, and delayed the day. There was no offer of any compensation, even free breakfast while we waited, nothing. There are a lot of managers here, but none seem to be empowered or able to do a thing. I left numerous messages for the assistant GM and an email to the GM, all unanswered. I was told the assistant GM tried to call me and left a voice mail, but I had nothing and offered for him to call me again, but nothing. I have given it over a week and nothing. It is disappointing because Arrowwood can be so much, we have had fun there over the years and know what to expect but if there is an issue, it is impossible to get someone with authority to discuss it with you. This is simple management and customer service skills. The good bit is outside of management, the employees were all pleasant, so kudos to them.

The only negative is the deck bar food. Accommodations are fine. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and bathrooms are clean and there is a second sink outside of the bathroom. There is a nice deck to sit on and its easy to get from one floor to another without having to use the elevator. The setting is lovely. Golfing is great. There is a mini golf course (not really a putt putt golf course with characters) that is fun for adults. There is a nice beach. The water is clear and clean. The marina helpers are very nice. The wait staff is very nice. The only thing is the food is rather bland and I thought the drinks were not that tasty. I recommend driving in to town for food. There is a 155 mile bike trail about 2 miles away starting in the town. oh, the owners don't want to pay to fix the second elevator so if you don't like stairs, you might not be happy.

1. Definitely not the same Arrowwood resort we were at last year. Avoid this resort at all costs! We were there from July 3-July 7. We were put in the wrong cabin and one of the groups coming with us wasn’t able to join us due to an upper level townhome. We reserved a lower level 4 bdrm townhouse in January. When we checked in, there was not a lower level available. Despite calling a week before and the morning of, employees insuring we had a lower level. One of the families was unable to join us as we had an upper level. We checked out on Jan 7. Have spent quite some time explaining everything to Sue and Nicole. We were promised a call from manager Terry by the morning of July 10. I have left several messages and no call back at all, over a week later. They keep promising to call and make things right, but it’s been a couple of weeks. We are being forced to call and reverse charges with American Expess as we were overcharged on top of the horrible experience we had. Zero star resort! You are better off renting a VRBO!!!

We used to love Arrowwood but this time we were not happy that they would charge $25 to check in before 4pm. We were not happy that we couldn't order off the menu at Chophouse due to convention buffet The price for my wine was high for the very small glass I got. We used to love Arrowwood because it had a horse riding Stables but that is no longer. Too many Goose poops on the 9 hole putting green but beautiful view of Lake Darling from balcony

We stayed at Arrowwood Resort March 30 & March 31; we were meeting family for their Easter Brunch. ROOMS: We paid $25 per room for early check in and checked in 12:30p on Saturday (total room cost $540). We had connecting rooms (408-410); the rooms were spacious, there was plenty of room and we could have fit all 6 in our party (4 adults & 2 small children) in one room (room capacity stated 4). FRONT DESK: We called the resort prior to our stay with questions and received a few different responses. Our main concern was if we could bring life jackets into the waterpark, online states no flotation devices. You are able to & they provide them as well. The front desk staff was nice. We encountered a manager upon check in, she was personable. We had teenager upon checkout, she was also helpful and granted us late checkout. After checkout, we were in the lobby waiting for others in our group to arrive for brunch (19 total) the employees seemed annoyed by us standing there. She quickly & hastily told us lunch was by the banquet rooms, we noticed a friend standing at the desk. DINING: Saturday night we went to dinner. We attempted the bar, 5th floor, but the bartender advised us to go down stairs due to our party and how he would not be able to service us. He was nice and we understood and respected him for being honest. He was great! We ate at the Chophouse and had a party of 15 for dinner, we arrived around 7p, quickly seated and served water. They are clearly understaffed; but our service was great. The waitress was running around but was tentative. We finished up around 9pm. The Easter brunch was really good, we had 19 people and were well taken care of by the staff. WATERPARK: I feel the pool is extremely over chlorinated. I’m unsure how often they check levels, but if it’s like the service we received my assumption is not as often as they are suppose to. My 18 month old left with a slight rash Saturday, we had spent about 5 hrs at the pool. We went back to the room and showered/lotioned. There rash was better Sunday morning, we went back to the pool for about 1.5 hrs and when we left the rash was almost hives, the 5 year old also complained about being ‘itchy’. When we arrived Sunday morning right at 9am (opening time) all the chairs were stacked but the floors were clearly never swept & there were multiple empty pitchers in the garbage cans. We commented on this, but again it didn’t surprise us due to the waterpark service received. The waterpark does need work but we did spent a lot of time in it so the work needed didn’t deter us from enjoying our time. You will notice worn and rusty areas; unsure if it’s from salt, over chlorination, or iron. As for the waterpark staff, the lifeguards were great! The concession was understaffed and the check in desk was less than desirable and enthusiastic. You could walk right in without a wrist band and they would never have noticed. I’m unsure if they would even notice you walk in as they are on

We come here 1-2 times a year and has been great in the past. We will no longer be coming after this visit. No Wi-Fi service-some members had to leave early after driving 400 miles because they could not log in for work/school. No hot tub and the pool area was so cold some members just wouldn’t go swimming/wouldn’t let their kids go-pool was “closed to public”-my guess is lack of life guards on duty-I seen 1 walk around about 10mins each hour. I personally waited 10 mins for towels while shaking wet and cold. When we first arrived at the cabin we had to open windows and go to town to buy air fresheners because it smelt so horrid. This part could not be helped because of weather but just added to the things we could not do: no sledding and ice fishing. When we checked out we told the front desk about our experience and they didn’t seem to care or give a discount…..y’all lost a yearly group of customers that rent cabin(s) and pay to do extra things.
