Hotel com localização agradável, quarto rústico, esperaria mais em relação ao custo do hotel. Restaurante fraco, café da manhã também. Para quem gosta de comer saudável, poucas opções. O café da manhã é servido na mesa, porém com poucos garçons para atender a demanda, serviço fica péssimo e demorado. Hotel caro para o serviço prestado.

We recently spent 5 nights as a family of 4 (older teenagers) in a two bedroom bungalow and would highly recommend this hotel. Many reviews mention that the website does not do the grounds any justice and I really have to agree. The complex was much bigger than I expected and the landscaping is truly beautiful. Our bungalow was very unique having 2 closed off bedrooms and then living area open to the rain forest. It was very private and perfect for our family. My only ask would be to have more crockery, maybe a few glasses in the kitchen area. The facilities are plentiful with 2 pools, pool slide, gym, football pitch and more. Keeping the kids entertained on a quiet day. But the absolute best were the staff. Reception and house keeping responded immediately to WhatsApp and really helpful. The restaurant staff were some of the best I’ve ever encountered. Restaurant has been reviewed separately with an easy 5/5. Breakfast was included and was perfect and we had a couple of evening meals there too. We were very sad to leave.

My wife, daughter and I loved this hotel. It's really a resort. The website doesn't do it justice! The rooms are separate cabanas, modern and clean with A/C. No neighbor noises possible. The pool, hot tub, workout facility, basketball court, paddle, and restaurant are spread out and surrounded by lush vegetation and a soothing sounding river. Its a beautiful place. The entire staff was amazingly nice, caring, and very responsive to our requests. They spoke excellent English. Jose, Maria, and Wilberth were amazing to us. We loved every aspect of this resort

Hemos tenido una estancia de dos días en Junio 2025. Un complejo con calidades muy altas en un entorno realmente auténtico que da la sensación de estar en medio de la selva tropical. Las habitaciones muy modernas acogedoras. Maria nos ayudó con todo que necesitábamos, dando un servicio muy profesional y encantadora. Nos sentimos un muy buenos manos con ella. Muy recomendable. Yo regresare seguro en el próximo viaje que hare desde Barcelona and Costa Rica. Gracias a Maria y sus compañeros.

We had a deeply disappointing and unsettling experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, the grounds appeared well-maintained, but the atmosphere was eerily quiet, lacking the welcoming vibe you'd expect. The real issue arose when we discovered a live mouse inside a pillowcase in our room. This was completely unacceptable and left us no choice but to leave the property without staying the night. One positive note: the porter was incredibly helpful and showed genuine concern, assisting us with arranging travel to alternative accommodation. However, it's been extremely disappointing that we have yet to receive any acknowledgment or response from hotel management regarding this serious issue. This experience was shocking and completely ruined what was meant to be a relaxing stay. I cannot recommend this property until clear improvements are made in cleanliness, pest control, and customer service.

Casa del Rio really was a wonderful surprise. The superior river view rooms are nestled facing into the rain forest and river providing a tranquil experience. If you are looking for a sanctuary where you can go to sleep absorbing the sounds of the forest then this is a great choice. The service was very good, in particular to the staff in the restaurant, shout out to Jose who consistently provided top notch service. The food was excellent. The only knock on the service was availability not quality. It’s not 24/7, but this generally wasn’t an issue. I found the stay to be excellent value for money. And as other reviews have mentioned the photos don’t really do the property justice. Casa Del Rio was modern, clean and provided a serene experience. Highly recommended

This place was such a memorable place to stay. The rooms were amazing, and the employees had amazing hospitality. My boyfriend and I felt so refreshed with our stay. My boyfriend and I loved the breakfast, and people were so willing to help. The walk to downtown La Fortuna is about a 24-minute walk. We felt very safe with our walk and often walked at night. Summer was such a friendly employee at the restaurant!

What an amazing time at Casa Del Rio. The pictures do not do it justice. The staff has been amazing. When we arrived, our son had thrown up on the car ride and Katerine was there to assist us with paper towels, and check us in and make us feel welcome. We’ve had amazing meals in the restaurant. Summer has been our server every day and been friendly and helpful with the menu. We also had an amazing massage by Michelle. I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. I would stay here again if I came back to La Fortuna. It’s a great location right near the waterfall. Our room had a view of the river Our son had a great time on the waterslide. Everyone here has been instrumental in us having a great vacation.
