Hotel Spa Plage St Jean

Hotel is a bit dated but the room was very good and the bed was super comfortable. Receptionist not very friendly. Parking good. Bit expensive for the stay if you are not using the spa facilities.

The room was clean, comfortable and peaceful with a beautiful balcony (well worth choosing a room with a balcony) Two beaches are just around the corner, a shingle beach and a huge sandy beach. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by too. The staff are helpful and welcoming.

This is a family run hotel and deserves support. It is unpretentious and the value for money is there. The rooms are clean, the welcome is fine, the spa is simple but good sauna and jacuzzis. Breakfast could be more imaginative or authentic but it was quite acceptable. So without being an exceptional experience we were happy with our stay.

We stayed for two weeks at the Hotel Plage St Jean and from the moment we arrived ALL the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and even when we lost something the staff were so helpful and one member of the team went out of his way to find it for us, for which we are very grateful. (I won't name him in case he doesn't want me to, but he knows who he is so Thanks again!) Our poor French language skills were tolerated remarkably. The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable and there was a fantastic choice for breakfast which was also great value for money. The only minor issue (Which didn't spoil it at all, but is worth a mention) is that the wardrobe hanging space was not long enough for shirts meaning that dresses had to be hung from the bathroom door pegs in the Traditional room we were in. The location was great and there is a good sized car park, but also a bus route (#40) goes right past the hotel and the bus stops are only yards from the hotel entrance in both directions. A wonderful hotel in a wonderful town, we loved them both! We won't name check any individual member of staff because they were all really great and made our stay really special! The place was nice. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. We had an issue without shower drain being clogged. They were helpful and a maintenance worker came quickly but was unable to resolve it. No efforts were made to provide compensation for the inconvenience.

Small hotel in little seaside town of La Ciotat. Rooms very small with little balconies overlooking the hotel drive . Breakfast buffet was ok . Restaurant attached to hotel closed and swimming pool inside covered area was like a sauna . The staff were lovely , friendly and helpful . A short walk to the start of the beach walk into the town which was 30 mins away with delightful restaurants and shops .

Very pleasant and helpful front desk staff. Plenty of parking and easy to get around town. The beach next to the hotel is full of rocks but 10 min walk is a nice beach and plenty of restaurants.

Stayed in a ground floor Pavilions room which was wheelchair accessible and had aircon and has easy access to parking and to dining room for breakfast. Easy walk to restaurants, beaches and local bakery. Bus stop for number 40 bus right outside which goes via beaches to Office de Tourisme & port from where calanques cruises leave. Pool is indoors and heated which was a surprise in summer. Access to a rocky beach from hotel - not as busy as main beaches but trickier access to water. Staff friendly and helpful. A relaxing stay
