This place is old and beyond worn. The spa pools are like little tubs and in July were lukewarm. Water smells like it's from a faucet. Drapes in room were torn, carpets were incredibly stained and dirty. The area outside Santa Fe where it is located is dry, flat with nothing around. Restaurant is separate from the hotel, so unable to charge to your room. Food was awful and I noticed most people left half their food. Wine only and a poor list to choose from. We immediately began searching for a different place. Unfortunately, it was a busy week-end & we couldn't find anyplace else on a Sat night. Thank goodness we found room at Bishop's Lodge for the next nights and were able to leave early. It was just horrible.

I wish this was going to be a fabulous review, but it's not. I will start with the positive, however. Our 2 dinners and lunch at the Blue Heron were really good. The soaking pools were exactly what they were supposed to be...relaxing and peaceful. However, the condition of things in our room were abominable. The bed. The entire thing should have been replaced many moons ago. The mattress sunk in the middle. I am not exaggerating when I say SUNK. Then the platform bed structure was on its last leg. Every time my husband and I moved, it cracked and creaked as if it was going to break completely down. The lamps appeared to be nice until you tried to adjust the shades so they were straight. Nope. The shades were ill-fitted for the base. Lopsided they stayed. Fresh New Mexico air? Not available. There were no screens on the windows. Opening the windows resulted in The March of the Flies and Mosquitoes. Right in they came. As a result, the dampness in the room was not manageable and our clothes were smelly and damp when we got home. There was no provision for hanging up your wet bathing suits for them to dry. Such a frustration. Three last issues...signage says no skin-protection lotions allowed to maintain the integrity of the soaking pools' water. OK, I get that, but the pools are out in the sun. Some shade but not enough to keep fair skinned or vulnerable-to-skin-cancer folks (like myself) protected. The burn both my husband and I got was severe. Secondly, the muffin we got from the cafe for breakfast had to be 4 days old. Not edible. Too dry. Peaceful and restful? An extremely rude couple with whom we unfortunately shared the dining room for dinner chose this time to take care of business using the speaker phone on the woman's cell. When I asked the manager to ask the woman to leave the restaurant to finish her "business," I was told the manager wasn't allowed to enforce the peacefulness and tranquility of the restaurant. Really? OK. Forewarned. Ojo Santa Fe has some work to do to earn a 5 star. I hope they get busy.

If you're use to good spas, skip this! I won't be back. Too many kids, noise, stairs, long walks and simply not up to par. Good for 20/30 ish crowd. Restaurant was adequate. Fish tacos good. Chicken therapy was cool. Go to original ojo! way better!

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed soaking and lounging around the property and also visited the chickens and puppies during our visit. There were some definite downsides, the nature walk being one. It was very unkempt with piles of broken chairs and old equipment littering the grounds. Most dissatisfying was the customer service. We arrived early to soak before our check in and were told multiple times to return the day pass robes or we would be charged. Later when we checked in for our room, in the heat of the day, making the drive around the property ready to relax, we found our room only to discover they did not put us in the room type we had reserved. We went back to the front to have this corrected and were given a different key with no explanation or apology. When we got to our correct room, there was a housekeeper inside still cleaning it. Called the front desk to ask when it would be ready and they stated it should be already then put us on hold for over 10min. When they got back on the line they said “we just called and your room is ready”. Again no apology and even a tone that we were making it up. The room was very nice however the AC didn’t work and privacy blinds were not functional. This was important the next morning when a housekeeper arrived to clean the room prior to checkout and saw us naked. We mentioned that when we checked out, another strange interaction, to which they replied “they were probably just checking if you had left yet.” Why would that make it ok and why wouldn’t they know? We still had to return our ever important robes and wrist bands, our car was registered with them and parked just outside the casita, and it was more than an hour before check out time. We did enjoy our time overall but some small adjustments in how they interact would go a long way.

We stayed at Ojo Santa Fe Resort & Spa for two nights in the middle of our 15-day Southwest vacation, intentionally choosing this spot to recharge, and it delivered. Admittedly, we were skeptical as we drove in, unsure if we were headed the right way. But the moment we turned onto the property, any concerns vanished. This place is tranquil, lush, and thoughtfully designed, a true oasis. The grounds are beautifully green and peaceful. Our room had a comfortable bed and a private balcony overlooking open fields, which made morning coffee feel like a retreat in itself. The soaking tubs, both public and private, were phenomenal. They were clean, well-maintained, and deeply relaxing. We also booked massages, which were very nice and added to the overall sense of renewal. The food was very enjoyable, with a variety of well-prepared dishes and great service. We appreciated being just far enough from downtown Santa Fe to avoid the noise while still being close enough to explore when we wanted. If you're looking to unwind, reconnect, or simply pause during a packed trip, this place is a perfect fit.

What a wonderful birthday my husband planned this past week. We experienced a little snafu with our reservations and after a 7 hour drive, we were ready to book another place...HOWEVER Ozzy from housekeeping came to the rescue. Ozzy greeted us in the courtyard and escorted us to a Casita. The Casita was inviting and very comfortable. Ozzy also made reservations for us to dine at the Blue Heron that evening which was so yummy. His smile, kindness and service erased the snafu from our minds. We enjoyed our stay, using the fitness center, hiked, soaked in the baths, swam in the salt water pool, relaxed in the hammocks, had a wonderful breakfast, yummy Santa Fe stacks, watched the puppy play and just enjoyed. Everyone was super friendly!!!! Thank you Ozzy and Ojo.

I went to Ojo to celebrate a monumental birthday. Ojo has a beautiful location. The pools were great, and the waitstaff and checkin attendants were all very helpful. Unfortunately, the $200 I spent on a massage was an absolute waste of money. I’m not sure what the style or type of massage the massage therapist provided was called but it wasn’t like any massage I have ever had before. More poking, pushing and shaking of limbs than I have ever experienced before. There was nothing relaxing about it. It was truly disappointing. I expected so much more.

We left the property without staying. Just looking at the outside and driving the property we decided to cancel the reservations.
