Well, this hotel was an amazing surprise, located just 14 mins by car from the historical centre of L'Aquila, it is perfect for that getaway or for travellers wanting a little more room. My room had a twin bed and a luxurious sofa that I made use of on the days I needed to stay in. Car Park onsite, Breakfast is included and they have an amazing selection of food to choose from. The restaurant 'Spapiza', serving high quality products at a very reasonable price, an abundant serving that will certainly fill the tummy of all. Staff and Management are lovely and have the time to speak to you and ask how your day is. This Hotel makes me feel like I belong and I'm not just another customer.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Federico II from 15 to 20 September, the hotel is very modern with spacious and well furnished rooms. The hotel has a large free parking area and a covered area. To note the location of the hotel: it is about 10 minutes walk from the beginning of the central Aquila road, so very comfortable for visiting the city and to reach the restaurants; Its location is also comfortable to get in the car and to get out of the city to reach the tourist attractions of Aquilano.

The restaurant serves a really nice dinner with a lot of options for a fair price. yes, the hotel is from the 70s, I only wish they leaned into this as a lover of design it could be really cool. The rooms are big, and clean. We had a giant balcony which was nice. Highly recommended if you’ve got kids or a car (there is a pool and abundant free parking). The breakfast is legit, they have soy milk etc. It’s independently run and multilingual with a 24 hour desk that can help you with taxi etc if your Italian is lacking. All of the staffs were 5 star worthy.Great energy overall.

Accettazione cordiale e disponibile. Soggiorno confortevole, ma letti singoli un po' stretti e duri. Aria condizionata decente, ma il riposo disturbato a volte da abbai frequenti da parte di due cani facenti parte dell'abitazione adiacente. Ristorante affiliato di livello medio/alto ma con ottima carne e buon servizio. Da notare la vicinissima fontana delle 99 cannelle, che, se visitata dopo una certa ora, da l'impressione di essere tutta per te. PS. Se avete un cane, l'hotel è molto pet friendly, e l'appartato Parco delle Acque, immediatamente adiacente all'hotel, è un'angolo per lo più ombreggiato per far divertire il cane!

It is true ....no luxury hotel .....no expensive and searched furnishings .....ma Attention: there is everything that can be used: 1) sympathy, flexibility and staff availability; 2) large rooms and even very comfortable mini-apartments with some even important size balconies; 3) perfect daily cleaning; 4) good consumer products; 5) excellent and varied breakfast (with products like local production crostaceans, exceptional)... 6) Free parking in the side spaces; 7) very good prices. Insome ....What more ... Unfortunately I had to give up the second night of stay (because of cancelling a job) but I will be happy to return. Recommended!
