I stayed in the room for a few days. The pillows in the room were so bad that it was hard to fall asleep. The fire alarm went off at 3 a.m. on the second night of my stay. People in the building were awakened in the middle of the night and ran downstairs. No one explained why. When I checked out, the front desk said that someone took a shower without closing the door at night and the steam came out, causing the fire alarm. This lie is simply nonsense and unbelievable. Please avoid it.

Excellent hotel! Very conveniently located, close to the Karasuma Oike subway station, which is only 3 stops from Kyoto station. In the hotel building there is an inexpensive canteen Matsuya, open from morning until late evening.

I strongly do not recommend you to stay in this hotel. I was really fooled. This hotel is rated 4.7/5 on Ctrip and 3.5/5 on Google. The reviews on Google are more realistic because I stayed there for five nights... In addition to the poor hygiene, there were a lot of hairs on the bed and toilet when I checked in. The price/performance ratio is really too low. The location here is good and convenient for shopping, but for the same price, Mitsui Garden and Sotetsu are also in good locations and cheaper. I booked five nights because there is a small garden at the door. I really regret it...
