Kyoto Kita Ward 2-star Hotels

A Nice little guesthouse located right next to the Golden Pavilion. There are convenience stores, coffee shops and restaurants nearby, as well as bus stops. It is a convenient place to visit the sights in Northern Kyoto!

Perfect place to stay in the real japanese interior. Kumiko-san is a very nice person who cares about her guests. You may be dependent on the M1 bus schedule, but if you are willing to walk down the mountain, it won't be a problem

It's in a great location opposite Kyoto City Hall, right under the subway, and with Honnoji Temple behind. The facilities are new and clean, and the beds are soft and fluffy. The staff are attentive and kind. There is also a large public bath, so it was a very satisfying hotel.

It’s an extending stay of another 2 nights! The service was consistently good, the girls at the front desk defiantly speak better English than the guys. Our second room was facing to the west, there’s been some weird humming noise that you can hear in the room time to time. We didn’t bother to report it to the hotel as we were out for sightseeing most of the day. The breakfast was not as good as for example swissotel in Osaka. But it’s good enough to let you have a good start of the day!

Very beautiful hotel with a lot of details for added comfort. We did not try the onsen and we did not take advantage of cultural programs available but we greatly enjoyed attentive staff, great design of the rooms, excellent location and good breakfast with enough choice of excellent Japanese and Western food, recommendable in every way

Overall, our family of three, traveling with our child, had a very pleasant and positive experience. It was comforting to hear many familiar Chinese dialects spoken by the numerous Chinese guests in the lobby. The room was very spacious with excellent facilities, which is quite a rare find in Japan. Its location was also superb, being very close to the shopping street. We could easily take an evening stroll there even after dinner around 9 PM. We only had two minor downsides: 1. The hotel is located above a main thoroughfare, so traffic noise was quite noticeable at night. 2. The breakfast selection was rather limited. As executive room guests, we had breakfast in the lounge and were not allowed to go to the first-floor dining area. We weren't sure if this was a misunderstanding, so we couldn't tell if the first-floor offerings were more varied. These were the only issues we encountered.

A great hotel with the friendliest check-in experience. The location is great, walking distance to metros, busstops, eateries, nishiki market etc. The only 2 things I'd say for improvement is firstly for housekeeping staff to top up waters in the room daily like most hotels. You can get water but must ask for it each time. The 2nd improvement would be to have a baby changing station somewhere in the hotel/toilets. A special thanks to Eriza who had great English speaking skills and helped us immensely during our stay!
