Our one night visit was so bad. The Varsta suite was run-down and dirty. There were spider webs, ants coming in from corners (maybe ant hill under the house, because it was so bad..) and from everything we saw that cleaning has not been done well at all. There was very bad smell in separate sauna and shower was off from wall (only holes in the wall told there used to be some kind of holder for it). At some places terrace was rotten wood. So it really would need some maintenance and repair. Receptionist at the bistro was stressed out and we didn't feel ourselves welcomed in any way (we came at 5 pm and our suite key was missing..). There weren't enough workers so it was a small amount of people they could serve food to. The breakfast was the only positive surprise. In the morning I told about our disappointment face to face, but there weren't anything they could do. I was told to send email and I did, but the responce from the boss/householder was a joke. He obviously has his own way to do business, takes your money for sure but you don't get the value 😉

The facilities were mainly super nice, but the service was poor. We felt like we were "on the way" when checking in to the hotel and when ordering food. The receptionist seemed tense, not so friendly and over-occupied. The food was delicious though, when in the end got the order right (there was ingredients missing). We stayed at Riihi room which was cozy and modern, although the bathroom floor was very cold. The own patio was very nice and the view beautiful. Even though the place and food was great, I am not sure if we would visit again because of the service.

We were there only in the sauna, which is a traditional Finnsih “smoke-sauna”. It is definitely worth to try if you are living nerby or traveling around! The shower and changing rooms are nice and clean. The sauna is super, after that you can also go to the lake.

Idylic place in the middle of peaceful nature and water. We had a room with a view to the water,with a little private on the ground terrace. The room was very clean and it felt like it was recently renovated with Scandinavian interiors. The restaurant was beautiful and the atmosphere during breakfast was peaceful. I was happily surprised about this beautiful place!
