Hotels with Parking in Kusatsu

My wife and I went to Kusatsu Onsen for the first time, and we were impressed by the unusual flower arrangement style at the inn where we stayed. We thoroughly enjoyed both the hot spring bath and the food. I recommend everyone to try the flower arrangement at Boun at least once. It's convenient as it takes about 5 minutes to get from the hotel to the Yubatake. On the way there was a hot spring manju shop and a chopstick specialty shop, so time passed quickly. The next day we stopped off in Karuizawa via Tsumagoi Village. It takes about an hour to get there from Kusatsu, so you can do some shopping on the way back. We ate at the Karuizawa Shopping Mall in front of the station before heading home.

It was the smallest room, but it seemed to have been renewed, and the wallpaper and so on smelled good in the tatami table. The meal was colored 々 and enjoyed. The tea bowl steaming of foie gras was fat and it was impossible for the elderly, but I had a lot of ground things such as salmon and cow in Joshu. I was happy to see me left-handed and to take care of me to replace the direction of the cheek at breakfast. The table interval was wide, and I could enjoy the meal quietly without worrying about each other. Yubata and bus terminal are close, but it is a calm inn in a quiet place.

We stayed for one night on November 28. Reservation is HP of Kusatsu Hotel. We booked a main building corner room with two meals per night. You can pick up and drop off by car from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal. Kusatsu Hotel is a beautiful Japanese style inn with a wooden 3-story building built on the high ground of the entrance to the West Kawahara Park. The quaint building is very good atmosphere. The antique furnishings and decorated raw flowers were modest and beautiful. The adjacent Kataoka Tsurutaro Museum of art seems to be operated by Kusatsu Hotel. The corner room on the 3 floor of the main building was a good room with a good view with two corners surrounded by windows. The old wooden frame window feels good. Thanks to the snow that had fallen the day before, we enjoyed the snowy scenery of Kusatsu.The ”Okuba” of the restaurant, which was extended to 2020, is a modern and bright atmosphere while leaving a Japanese taste. The breakfast and evening meals were beautiful, and all the dishes using fresh ingredients were delicious. The public bath (open-air two hot water) is also in a new separate building. It is full of openness and is kept clean. With a large inner bath with a source hanging water and an open-air bath, Kusatsu! It was a very pleasant hot water. (West Kawahara source) Kusatsu Hotel, great satisfaction with a wonderful inn as word of mouth!

The log house was terrific! Very clean, comfortable, fully equipped kitchen plus dining table. Floors were heated which added to the cozy feeling. The raised floor where the futons were laid was not heated though. There were a few add on’s; very thoughtful. There’s an interior door to separate the genkan (entry way) to keep out the draft. There is a bear bell for you to borrow at the front door. There are two emergency buttons to sound an alarm if need be. (Not sure if they work). These small details, someone thought about it. Lovely forest all around the log cabin. Dreamy. Only thing missing, no one came to set up the futon beds at night. Self-serve only. We had half-board; both breakfast and dinner were mediocre. Quality of sushi was poor. There are many activities such as bowling and mini golf. The equipment was old. We didn’t want to wear the old bowling shoes provided. Things were old, but nostalgic.

We stayed here for 4nights and enjoyed the convenience of this place. We had a rented car and parking was easy. Room was spacious and heating was very good especially in winter nights. The owners gave us free breakfast on a Sunday and it was very nice gesture. The staff and owner tried their very best to make us feel comfortable, and they are the only ones in Kusatsu that speak a little bit of English to us. All in all, this place was very convenient and fairly accessible. Thanks for having us, will surely return.

Perhaps the biggest flaw: they don’t have non-smoking rooms. Aged hotel, great location, abismal architecture, ugliest building around the Yubatake, nice service, parking out of the town centre, but with a shuttle taking you back and forth any time of the day. The hotel onsen is ok, but not big enough to deal with peak times. Breakfast is fabulous. A true banquet. And service is so good that they’ll even bring you a nama tamago if you ask them. If you don’t want to pay for a traditional-looking bath house building, you’ll find nothing more convenient than this hotel. And if you have a problem with any ashtray smell of your rooms, they will desodorise it in a process that takes 1 hour. Perhaps not a bad idea to ask them to do this before your expected arrival time.

It was 20 minutes before the check-in time, but the attendant in front of the gate greeted me with a smile, took my luggage and guided me to the front desk, and the receptionist also smiled and proceeded immediately. Other staff were comfortable inn to greet you with a smile. I enjoyed a color 々 bath, and the snow view bath from the open air of the muddy hot water was the best. The room is compact and old, but it is satisfied with the hospitality and service of the smile. The rice was also delicious, such as the fried tenkara and the soup cut soup that Itamae made in front of me.

I booked a twin room, but since the accommodation confirmation email said that smoking was possible, I asked for a change of room and changed it to a Japanese-style room. If you want to quit smoking, we recommend avoiding twins as all rooms can smoke. In fact, the smoking room smelled very strong, but the front desk was very good and I was relieved. The facilities are old but there was no problem. Is the sound of flushing the toilet noisy? It's quite comfortable. The bath is Mandai no Yu, which feels gentler than Yubatake no Yu, but Kusatsu no Yu has the power to make your body burn and sleep hard, it's a stone's throw! Both the indoor and open-air baths are quite large and comfortable. The food is the best! This cospa is wonderful for 10,000 yen! !! Moreover, it seems to be a service, but even though it was a basic plan, it had crabs! I dared to avoid crab because it was difficult, but it was still delicious! Thank you! , Is it hard because it is mainly made from Gunma prefecture and has 200g of pork? I didn't expect it, but I was very satisfied with the soft and very good meat at all! Breakfast is also on-parade from Gunma, especially the natto is wonderful and delicious, and it costs 3700 yen for 9 pieces, but I bought it as a souvenir. But considering this price, it's ok at all, and there is a transfer to the daitokan of Yubata, and it is a really wonderful inn with a lot of manga. Absolutely recommended! !! It's one of the Kyoritsu resorts that I've always wanted to stay at. It is located on a hill, away from the center of Kusatsu Onsen. There was still time for the shuttle bus that day, so I took a taxi. When I arrived, the person in charge took my suitcase. Check-in was also smooth. The style of the room is to my liking. There are 4 private baths, and there will be competition for everyone (lol) Dinner is my favorite. I prefer Western cuisine to Konomi rather than Japanese Kaiseki, so all the dishes were delicious. One thing that could be improved is that the shuttle bus apparently does not depart at the same time as the bus from Naganohara Kusatsuguchi. I hope this area can be improved.
