Honestly, even if I have a chance to go to Kusatsu again, I will never stay here. The location is right in front of the Yubatake, which is a plus, but "the whole building is dark," "the walls are incredibly thin and you can hear the voices from the next room all the time" (you can probably hear it even if you're just watching a short video), "the futon is thin and too hard" (I asked for two layers because I have a bad back, but they refused and I had no choice but to sleep on one, but even though the bottom is tatami, it was not too hard and I couldn't sleep at all. My body was so painful that my blood stopped flowing and I woke up because I got cold. Not only me, but my companions as well), the hallways were left with holes, and I got the impression that they were relying on the tourist destination of Kusatsu. It was very attractive to be able to visit the hot springs in the same chain, but honestly it was the worst accommodation I've ever been to. I previously stayed at the Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Resort, which is a member of the same chain, and I was more satisfied with it even though it was cheaper. Some of the staff were polite and kind, so I had many complaints about the facility itself rather than the people. I wish the hotel was a little brighter, the damaged areas were repaired, and the hotel was run with more consideration for the guests. The toilet in the room was also very small, and the glass looked cheap and I couldn't relax at all. The toilets on each floor didn't have washlets, and only the floor with the front desk had washlets, so I was able to relax. I stayed on the 4th floor, but when I opened the curtains, the path in front of me was completely visible to pedestrians. I didn't feel safe there just because it was the 4th floor. I never opened the curtains during my stay. There were many things that made me think it was a shame that the hotel was in such a good location, right in front of the Yubatake. I would stay here again if they made improvements, but if the current situation remains the same, I would recommend staying at Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Resort, even though the location is a little worse. There are regular buses, so it shouldn't be that inconvenient.
