The smart guest control system upgraded the accommodation experience. The breakfast options were rich and varied, ranging from Western bakery to Chinese dim sum, and the freshly squeezed juice was particularly fresh. The self-service laundry room offers a variety of washing modes and high drying efficiency. The gym is open 24 hours a day and the equipment is very well maintained. The Yangcheng Lake Music Festival is nearby. Let's stop by first. The hotel is very new. The outdoor area is especially suitable for a solo vacation. The hotel mattress is very soft and comfortable. It's also very nice to take pictures. I like it. Waiting for the music festival to check in again
I took my high school kid here for a day off at the tail end of the holiday season. It was quick and convenient to get here from Shanghai. When I entered the hotel, I was told that the room type had been upgraded to a double bedroom, which was a real surprise. There were soft drinks and fruits in the room for us to enjoy, a huge sofa, and an exquisite little courtyard (the little snail had afternoon tea with us). It was so much fun to stay there for a day. There is also a granary that we can climb up in the hotel, as well as a Kunqu Opera art exhibition, and egrets by the lake. I especially want to mention the dinner in the hotel. Although it is a set meal, every dish is delicious. I look forward to coming again next time. It's great!

SsmilingwillaThe accommodation experience at Zhouzhuang Mailun Academy (former residence of Shen Tilan) is impressive. This late Qing Dynasty heritage-protected building enclosed by high walls is carefully decorated in a modern Shanghai-style style, retaining the historical charm while incorporating modern comfort and convenience. The accommodation environment is elegant and peaceful, as if you are in an exquisite Jiangnan water town painting.
The B&B has complete internal facilities, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the beds are soft and comfortable, allowing you to have a good night's sleep. Especially the scenery of the B&B, whether taking pictures or relaxing, is very stylish and makes people linger. The afternoon tea and breakfast provided by the B&B are also very delicious. While enjoying the delicious food, you can also feel the unique charm of Zhouzhuang.
The environment around Mailun Academy is also very beautiful. You can reach various attractions in Zhouzhuang Ancient Town within walking distance, making it very suitable for family outings or couples' vacations. Staying here, you can not only feel the history and culture of Zhouzhuang, but also enjoy a rare tranquility and leisure.
In addition, it was a pleasure to chat with the shop owner and the guy in the shop. Their friendly attitude can quickly break down the barriers between strangers and make communication easy and pleasant. Their smiles, kind words and active participation in topics make people feel at home and comfortable. Whether it is an introduction about local customs and customs, or a sharing of life, work, and dreams, people can gain new insights and inspiration through communication. This kind of collision and fusion of ideas can not only broaden people's thinking, but also enhance mutual understanding. In the fast-paced modern life, people often face various pressures and challenges. Communicating with these friendly and interesting people can help people temporarily forget their worries, relax and enjoy a good time.
What a great experience! Will come again next time I have a chance!
TTravelerVibesMy stay at Guyunfeng Hotel was a peaceful and memorable experience, made even better by the owners, who were truly amazing. They were warm, friendly, and went out of their way to help me feel comfortable. From the moment I arrived, their kindness stood out, it’s clear they genuinely care about their guests
Although I didn’t receive tea along with the snacks that some other reviews mentioned, I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of the snacks I did get. Small touches like this made my stay feel personal and welcoming
What I loved most about my time here was simply staying in my room and people-watching from the window. The view was a quiet kind of magic like watching daily life unfold in Zhouzhuang’s water town felt like stepping into another world. The town moves at its own pace, different from anything I’m used to, and it reminded me how refreshing it can be to slow down and truly observe
If you’re looking for a place with a cozy atmosphere, wonderful hosts, and the chance to soak in the charm of Zhouzhuang, Guyunfeng Hotel is a great choice. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a small retreat where you can reconnect with the beauty of simple moments
P.S. you will have to pay a ticket for 100RMB and good for 3 days. If you stay more than 3 days, you will have to pay ticket for every 3 days or so. You can buy a ticket from vending machines and have your face scanned at the security checkpoints, or buy it manually, take picture on ticket with date then show it to security guards.
GGuest UserThe location is very advantageous and travel is very convenient. Whether it is to visit various attractions or taste local food, it can be easily reached. The appearance of the inn retains the traditional architectural style of the Jiangnan water town. The interior decoration is exquisite and elegant. The room facilities are complete and the mattress is moderately soft and hard. Zhouzhuang Life Inn is a very cost-effective inn. I will stay there again next time.
AAnonymous UserI am very satisfied with the service of this orange hotel
The facilities are very new and just opened this year.
The service is also very good. We will respond to parking, takeout, late check-out, etc.
Breakfast is also rich in variety, fresh and delicious
I particularly like the location because it is within walking distance from the Kunshan Culture and Art Center. It is so convenient to watch performances from Shanghai, especially when there are some popular performances that cannot be bought in Shanghai. The curve saves the country and the price-performance ratio is unparalleled.
TTingtingyu♈️Great homestay, very close to the entrance of Shen Hall, just outside the door, very convenient! I like her ancient style garden, which perfectly matches the girls’ costume changes and can immerse you in the play in one second. There are also cute little cats, free and happy cat life, eating, sleeping and wandering around~
GGuest UserThis place was absolutely amazing, the host was the best we’ve come across, from meeting us and carrying all our bags, to finding us in the rain whilst we were shopping to offer umbrellas due to the downpour . The room was immaculate, we were able to store our drinks etc in the large commercial fridge, and yes it was cold!! Bottled water was free anytime. The location is brilliant , you can walk around the town and drop back and use the home stay facilities anytime, this was so nice as the facilities were so clean. Our room was spacious overlooking the canals, so even if you felt like a break, a drink and nibbles in your room whilst watching the events below was relaxing.
The restaurant next door was the nicest we’d come across. I would recommend 2 nights stay, and definitely don’t look any further trying to find a better spot , book here. The Host spoke English and was easy to contact by email or mobile and WeChat. This is a family home stay business and it was evident during our stay. I’d give this place 10 stars
GGuest UserOne of our favorite places. Really a great stay. The lady who runs the place is super nice. Room had cool exotic decorations and furniture. The balcony was nice although not much to see but done roof tops.
Location is great. You have to pay 100 rmb to enter the city before you walk a few blocks to hotel. Right next to double bridge which is famous because of an old painting but otherwise no big desk. Indeed there were other double bridges and more picturesque bridges.
Only drawback was no breakfast at all. So you need to wander around and find a restaurant. We madd the mistake of ordering coffee from a coffee shop. Despite 35rmb - more expensive than in US it was just an automatic machine - not barista made, and couldn’t even taste much coffee. This has nothing to do with the hotel but it was a ripoff.
Another good thing about the hotel was they have another business of historical clothes rental with makeup and photography. It turned out great.
JJakobreuVery nice small hotel next to the canals of Zhouzhuang. Rooms are good and you feel like time travelling in old China with the traditional furniture and beds. Lovely owner who provided us with tips and lots of help when I lost my wallet in a Didi. You have to pay the entry fee to get to touristic area in which the hotel is located which was ¥150 p.p. during the day, it’s cheaper if you enter after 8pm so best to check with the host who is super lovely and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
NNicolefuguixianrenThe owner decorated the small yard beautifully. It is very comfortable to sit on the swing in the evening in this season. It is a kind of enjoyment.
GGuest UserLocation was perfect and also my initial consideration, right at the center of city. No much to expect except for those standard items example - service, cleanliness or comfortability therefore to my surprise, the rooms were cosy and clean (guessed it’s because they were newly renovated or not long ago) but, but except for some minor hiccups example - air conditioning controls (remote and wall mounted) + room WiFi needs pre-logging on before connectable (used my phone hotspot to fix problem)! Everything was fine until the next day slightly before checking out, they cut off my room electricity abruptly half an hour before checkout time! Imagine if you’re still using the bathroom! This needs serious attention as I have never encounter such scenarios before, in my entire life experience of travelings and staying in hotels. Never. Of course my booking came with the “late checkout privilege” so why the rush? Oh and they did offer an upgrade of room (when checking in) but, but with additional charges! Wondering if these misunderstandings were “intentional” or caused by miscommunication between the hotel management and platform, a sales technique? Please clarify: rewards enjoyable/ available after booking, if possible thank you
