I took my high school kid here for a day off at the tail end of the holiday season. It was quick and convenient to get here from Shanghai. When I entered the hotel, I was told that the room type had been upgraded to a double bedroom, which was a real surprise. There were soft drinks and fruits in the room for us to enjoy, a huge sofa, and an exquisite little courtyard (the little snail had afternoon tea with us). It was so much fun to stay there for a day. There is also a granary that we can climb up in the hotel, as well as a Kunqu Opera art exhibition, and egrets by the lake. I especially want to mention the dinner in the hotel. Although it is a set meal, every dish is delicious. I look forward to coming again next time. It's great!

If you need to be in Kunshan, this is a decent place. I booked it because it was close to a place I was going for a meeting and in a lot of ways it's a pretty standard high end business hotel in a non first tier city. But there were some nice surprises like a bath tub the room and it had some of the fastest internet access I've had the pleasure of using in China (which was great for a multi-hour video conference I had that night with Europe). Bed was firm but not a board, good pillows. Decent selection for breakfast the next morning but the coffee was a bit weak so the Starbucks around back if the building or the Luckin a block away (if you're a Luck in fan) were good to know about. Not a lot of dining within walking distance but a couple kilometers up the road over near Duke Kunshan there were some interesting dining options including decent pizza and Southeast Asian food.

There are plenty of charging piles in the parking lot, and my baby said that this TV can be turned on and watched. The environment is great. I paid the upgrade fee at the front desk and got a lake view room. It is great value for money. The scenery is nothing to say. The room bedding is clean. The lounge manager Sammi is considerate and reminds us to watch the sunset at a certain time. It is really great. I will come again next time
