What an unique experience! Nothing could be more authentic than that! Our room is on the first floor right by the water. We saw many women rowing the gondola boats and serenading beautiful songs to their passengers. We came in a low season, so there wasn’t that much crowd. We could stroll around leisurely to take in all the beautiful sights that this place offers to us. The home stay is operated by a couples. They are so friendly, kind, and always eager to help out, especially the wife (Ms. Chan). The day when we left, she helped us getting a didi ride which is more cheaper than the one we hailed ourselves. The room we stayed in is very unique, it is not super big, but it is very clean and it has everything we needed for the night. All and all, I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

This was my second visit to Zhouzhuang, and I brought my 10-month-old baby this time. The accommodation didn't disappoint at all; the environment was fantastic! The landlady was incredibly warm and even offered pick-up and drop-off services. We had lunch at her restaurant, and the food was delicious, plus she gave us a discount. We also got to watch fireworks from the open-air balcony at 8 PM. They even put safety padding on all the corners in our room, which was so thoughtful. I actually bought a lifetime pass for Zhouzhuang (the entrance ticket) specifically because of this guesthouse, as I'm definitely coming back again. It was just a bit too crowded during this National Day holiday, making it hard to move around with a baby. Environment: Absolutely superb, it felt just like home. Service: I'm not exaggerating, the landlady's service was truly exceptional!

A very authentic place to stay! Being foreigners, we enjoyed the ancient town atmosphere here. Everything is very beautiful, the master even provides you with wonderful jasmine tea to boil in a clay tea-set. It’s convenient that there are rooms with three beds. We had two rooms - one had a nice river view with a spacious balcony. The location is great - just 5 minutes away from the automobile road and five minutes away from main attractions in the town. Despite being close to the historic center, it is a quiet street - perfect for relaxing on the balcony at the evening. The master also helps you with your luggage to bring it on a small car from the automobile road.

During a visit to Zhouzhuang, I stayed at the Shuxiang Mansion Hotel. The hotel is located inside the ancient town, but if you check in before 5 PM, you'll need to purchase a ticket to enter. Parking is available in the parking lot outside the town, which costs 20 yuan per day. The walk from the parking lot to the hotel can be quite hot in the summer. The hotel will contact you in advance to let you know where to park. The hotel is quite nice, with a quaint atmosphere. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a TV with screen projection. There's also a coffee machine, two bottles of drinks, and two sesame cookies. Breakfast ends a bit early at 9:30 PM, but the noodles, wontons, bread, freshly squeezed juice, and coffee are more than enough for a satisfying breakfast. After check-out, we received a complimentary Zhouzhuang specialty, sock-bottom pastry. However, we could use more insect control, as there were several small flies and mosquitoes in the bathroom.

The room is incredibly beautiful, the view is perfect onto the river and old town. Although communication was very limited due to language barrier the host still made sure we had his phone number in case and was very friendly and helped with the luggage, too. in front of the house they have chairs you can take to enjoy sitting at the riverside. The only downside is that the toilet and shower don’t offer much privacy - milky glass dooor and open to the top. still we strongly recommend this place!

This inn is in such a beautiful location. I only stayed one night, but definitely want to come back and stay longer. The host was warm and friendly. We connected on WeChat the day before and she provide a waypoint for gps when booking a car. She met up with me in the pedestrian street outside of the town’s gate to guide me in and helped with the luggage. The location is very convenient. This is an ancient town so the street surfaces are stone slabs and uneven cobblestones. But going in is mostly smooth, cross one bridge and the inn is right there, about as close to the entrance and as least hassle as you can get. The waterway in front of the inn is travelled by the row boats whether they’re on the day or evening tour route so there’s plenty to people watch from the balcony. Overall a great place, great host, and highly recommended. Little tip, if you can store luggage at the airport or train station, take only what you need for your stay so you don’t have too much luggage to weigh you down for the trek in and out. The balcony rooms are walkup only.

The room was nice. Mosquito-free. Thoughtfully, the disposable amenities were complete. We were picked up at the entrance to the scenic area, though the road was admittedly not very convenient for luggage. But that's understandable given the scenic area's route. That's the kind of experience you're looking for. The recommended Xiaomilou farmhouse cuisine was delicious. Highly recommended. The price was very reasonable, and the breakfast was generous.

Very close to the entrance of the scenic spot. The boss is very enthusiastic. The car was parked in the parking lot and the boss came out to pick us up and take us to the hotel. The performances at Four Seasons Zhouzhuang are very exciting and you must see them when you come to Zhouzhuang.

Our stay here was fantastic! The service was excellent, and the accommodation was very comfortable. My child loves baths, which was why we chose this place; the disposable plastic liners provided for the tub made us feel very safe and at ease. In the evenings, the owner even set out watermelon and other fruits in the lobby for everyone to enjoy freely. We'd sip tea, chat, and it was incredibly relaxing! Inside, there's a large alligator snapping turtle and three smaller turtles. My child absolutely loved repeatedly feeding watermelon to the alligator snapping turtle. When it was time to leave, my child didn't want to go! It was a truly wonderful trip, and I've attached some photos for reference.

I saw pictures of this guesthouse's beautiful courtyard online, and it was just as lovely in person. I really adored their cat; the owner said it's their mascot. It was super affectionate and stayed on me for a long time, not standoffish at all. I slept very well and left early in the morning to visit the scenic area, which I explored for three hours. The owner let me park my car in the free parking lot and even offered a shuttle service, which was very convenient.
