Our first experience with CGH earth and it was wonderful. The resort is conceptualised to create its own ecosystems and it does. Bats, butterflies, owls, herons and amazing flora too. The biodiversity is stunning to see. At the gate of Periyar national park it has very well trained naturalists to add to your walks, treks and bamboo rafting experience. The food is great and the bar is outstanding ! Children just love it with scavenger hunt, pepper vine trail, cooking demos and spice talks. If you have a child who enjoys nature and can be sans screens this is ideal.

"Our stay at CGH Spice Village was nothing short of magical. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the resort offers an authentic experience of Kerala’s spice gardens with a touch of luxury. The cottages are beautifully designed, blending seamlessly with nature. The hospitality was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The organic food, serene atmosphere, and eco-friendly approach make this a must-visit place in Thekkady. Highly recommended!"

This is an amazing place to stay in this natural park area. The cottages on the property are beautifully cared for - modern, clean and restful. The restaurant offers a great buffet - food up to a good quality - not gastronomique level in India but fine - and the programs offered - like the dance performances - are great. The pool is nice and the natural surroundings - with monkeys and birds all around - is unique and wonderful. The staff is first class and great. Get a local massage in the nearby town, pick up spices at local stores, go to a dance performance and enjoy the park for its incredible wildlife - take a morning hike with a guide (forget about the park boat ride - a waste of time!) The Spice Village is a wonderful place to relax after a long day exploring nature.

Posto meraviglioso immerso nella natura. Cura nei dettagli unica. Zero plastica e tutto eco friendly. Servizio impeccabile, cibo pazzesco. Diversi appuntamenti organizzati durante la giornata, dalla sessione di yoga alla mattina, al tour interno al resort con un naturalista (noi lo abbiamo fatto con Ashly, un ragazzo super preparato e molto gentile, una vera enciclopedia di tutte le specie animali e vegetali, ci ha anche accompagnato in un trekking stupendo nella jungla), allo show cooking e altre attività. Un grazie speciale a tutto lo staff per aver reso la nostra permanenza così speciale!

This was an incredible part of my trip to South India. Spice Village was beautiful, with amazing staff, great food and an ideal location. One thing I wish to highlight is my experience with Ashly, the naturalist on site who offers guests nature tours. His tour around the property revealed many species we would never have found on our own. Well worth it. A friend and I became interested in a local bat colony. Ashly helped us learn all about them with wonderful enthusiasm. He taught us facts about their behaviours, took us off site to where we could spot them waking and flying en mass and made every effort to support and grow our interest. Ashly went above and beyond to make our visit special, he was terrific.

Great stay and amazing staff. You can just stay at the resort. They have lot of activities in the resort itself. Best place if you like to stay in nature and relax. The buffet was overrated and overpriced. However, a la carte was reasonable. I would say food was just ok.

The place is serene, with diverse vegetation. The staff were pleasant and cheerful. Mainly meant for international tourist cultural events, classical music, bars and associating themselves with history of our land. Being from native
I would have preferred some play area for kids and the pool to be placed somewhere away from the main restaurant. The chef doesn't prepare the cuisine/buffet considering the audience and is leaned towards the international tourist. By the way the food is poorly cooked no matter how much you argue it was made from homegrown or whatever
Have previously visited CGH earth Wayanad and had a wonderful experience there so opted for this one. In wayanad the Chef spent some quality time with us preparing recipes for my kids. Manager a wildlife photographer sharing his experiences
Totally not recommended for humbled mallus trying to spend some quality time with family but good option for international tourists and new gen people to pose some good photos
