The hotel has perfect location. We can see the castle from our room and also at the lounge on the 10th floor. The breakfast is beyond expectation. We would stay here again if we come to Kumamoto.

I was only able to reserve a smoking room,
but when I checked in they asked me if I wanted a non-smoking room and they were able to change it for me.
The room is not large but it is clean and comfortable.
It is also helpful that there are vending machines in front of the elevators on each floor.
All necessary amenities are provided in the room.
Shampoo is provided in the room, but there is a shampoo bar behind the front desk so you can choose your favorite shampoo.
The top floor is a dining and lounge with a drink bar.
Coffee and other drinks are available there.
There is also a manga room behind the lobby on the first floor, which may be a good place to take a break during a long stay.

I read the reviews and went there expecting it to be an old but nice hotel.
The thing that bothered me when I entered the room was the smell. It had a very old, moldy smell.
The smell of the bathroom curtains was particularly bad. The curtains were damp and the room smelled of dampness.
Even if I wanted to ventilate the room, there was no switch to turn on the ventilation fan, so I wonder if they ventilate the room 24 hours a day? There was nothing I could do about it myself.
There was an indescribable awful smell that was extremely unpleasant.
The location was also inconvenient as there was nothing nearby unless you have a car.
