The booking itself was a bit strange. I made a request for a standard double room, I got the offer and when I wanted to accept a few hours later, the standard rooms were all booked and I had to book the next category. In the hotel, however, we noticed that it was not very busy. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the train station. Since we arrived at midday, we were able to leave our suitcases in the hotel. The hotel looks very attractive from the outside and we also liked the entrance area, the reception and what we could see of the seminar rooms. After waiting 15 minutes for the receptionist (despite ringing several times, asking the cleaning staff where the receptionist was...) we were checked in, but understandably we were not able to move into the rooms yet. We were only given the most necessary information (breakfast, bus), the wellness area was not mentioned at all and if we needed restaurant tips, we were told to ask her colleague who was on duty in the evening. We were also promised that when we got to our room in the evening, our suitcases would already be there - but that wasn't the case. Unfortunately, we discovered a few problems in the room. The room door had to be closed with extreme pressure, otherwise it wouldn't stay closed. When we didn't lock the room and opened the patio door, the room door suddenly opened. The small mirror in the bathroom was missing, instead there was only the holder provided for it. The moldy silicone strips in the shower were impossible to miss and the holder for the shower head was also broken, which meant that the shower head kept falling down. When we wanted to take the lift down to reception, the button didn't work. When we told the receptionist this, she said in her defense that they were on holiday next week anyway and that these problems would be fixed then. I thought I wasn't hearing correctly... I want to experience excellent comfort in the hotel even in the week before a holiday. Or should I have planned my holiday around the hotel's holiday? Speaking of holiday: It's not exactly advantageous when the hotel restaurant is closed for holiday during the Austrian autumn holidays. One positive thing to mention is the breakfast buffet, which was varied and plentiful. The staff was always friendly and in a good mood. We particularly liked the Kufsteinerlandcard, which allows you to use all public transport in Kufstein from the day of arrival to the day of departure, and also includes some excursions. However, as the hotel's shortcomings outweigh its advantages and the four stars are in no way justified, we cannot recommend the hotel and will not book it again - unfortunately, it certainly has a lot of potential.
