Onix Hotel

ONIX HOTEL I stayed at the Onix Hotel for four days in August 2023 (August 22 to the 25th). I did NOT rent a car, because I was able to walk everywhere from this hotel. It was my first time in Albania. I took the ferry from Corfu to Saranda. Then, I caught a 30 Euros Taxi from Saranda Ferry Port to the Onix Hotel in Ksamil. When I arrived, I paid the fee for the hotel stay because I had booked it through ***********. The people who run this hotel are VERY NICE. There was always a VERY NICE Man, and another nice younger man, so kind and sweet. I stayed in Room 303. The room was wonderful. It was big, it uses the same outlets as Italy, the bed was SOO Comfortable as well as the pillows. The room was very clean. When I arrived, the bed had a big towel in the shape of a bow on the bed, it was beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable as well as the pillows. Also, the room had a wrap around balcony, which enabled me to look down and see many of the beaches which surround the area. I could see the Blue Diamond Beach and Principotes Beach from my balcony. The bathroom was nice as well, this place gave out bathroom toiletries, which I appreciated. I believe it also had a microfridge, which I did not use. Also, although the bathroom is lovely and very spacious, I wish it had one more glass wall in the stand up shower, because the water ends up getting all over the floor when you shower. They should probably have a towel that says “ This towel is to wipe the floor”—so that people don’t use the bathroom towels to wipe the floor. A cool feature about the bathroom is that it has a window with blinds—its different but kind of neat. The toilet was lovely as well. This room is very electrical, in the sense that the key is an electrical key to open the hotel room door. Also, there are buttons you can press to tell outsiders that 1. You want your privacy or 2. You do want housekeepers to enter your room , 3. Theres a bell, and 4. A check in sign. The rooms do not have irons inside BUT when you need an iron you just tell the front desk, and they will provide an iron for you to use, it is very simple. Did I mention that this hotel has a SPECTACULAR breakfast on their rooftop? SPECTACULR! On the fifth floor of the hotel, they offer breakfast, from 8 to 10 am I believe. We NEVER missed breakfast. Breakfast included some Albanian delicacies, cakes, but they also had eggs, cereal, yogurt, hotdog meat, cheeses, sandwich meats, bread, orange juice,and other drinks, like coffee. I also think they could make omelets based on request. I never made an omelet but I saw someone making one. The food was so good and there was something for everyone. Ohh I forgot to mention the amazing tasting fruit, that was also part of the breakfast selection. The grapes were so good, as well as the cantalopes, and more. This was a GREAT HOTEL!!
