Esmeralda Hotel

Lovely and clean Very clean hotel. Very well kept. Good size room. Felt very safe. I would gladly stay there again. Helpful staff. I'm case you do not realise, there is a daily surcharge if you wanted to use the air-condition.

This was our first visit to Rhodes and we wanted somewhere a little less tourist heavy. This hotel is located on the main road but do not let that put you off as it really wasn’t an issue and it has suitable privacy from the road side. The rooms were large with a safe and plenty of storage, air conditioning and private terrace. The rooms were clean and tended to every day with fresh linen and towels every other day. The only negative point was that no matter how we placed the shower head and curtain the floor still ended up drenched. But the shower was hot and powerful. The restaurant area is welcoming and staffed well. A choice of light breakfasts are available every day. We also had lunch here a couple of times and the food was freshly prepared and good sized portions. Not too mention reasonably priced. The pool is clean and inviting. A little cold when you get in but gets the sun at the right times for a pleasant dip. Plenty of sun beds are available at the time we visited. The floor of the pool can be quite slippery though. We felt welcomed and comfortable at this hotel. On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be returning next year!

We have literally just come back from this hotel today and to be honest we have a mixed opinion about it . Firstly Catarina and Nikitas are absolutely brilliant and are probably the best thing about the hotel .Very hardworking,friendly and helpful people ,impressive especially as they are both so young . The hotel itself is very clean , our room was immaculate. There’s air conditioning,a mini fridge ,kettle and cups but no actual tea or coffee . We had a terrace which was thankfully shaded most of the day . The rooms are spacious with lots of storage. The breakfast was fab and freshly cooked but there is no menu so Catarina has to list out the options to you . The bus to Rhodes stops right outside the door which is a real advantage. There isn’t much to do in Kresmasti during the day but buzzing with atmosphere at night . That’s the good but there are loads of stupid rules as well . You aren’t allowed to bring a bottle of water from your room or from outside the hotel to the pool area . The pool doesn’t seem to have an obvious filter and so can get scummy around the edge . One of the poor cleaners was on her knees scrubbing the green off the other morning . The food is fabulous and home cooked but sometimes you feel like asking for lunch is a huge problem. Esmeralda is there all day and sometimes falls asleep at a table . Her husband is unreal , he stomps around scowling at people and shouts if there’s a problem . He seems to forget you’re paying to stay there . It was really noisy at night with people messing about but I don’t blame the hotel for that but maybe they should add it to the rules . We had a good enough week there but I wouldn’t return .

Worst experience and worst hotel. Do not stay here they quote you one price and charge another when you checkout. The owners sit there all day and yell at all the tourists not allowed to do anything it’s like a prison. The pool has mould around it. Hotel does not look like it does in the pictures.
