There is no elevator, but the waiter will help carry the suitcase to the room. The surrounding area is very convenient, there are supermarkets for daily necessities, Chinese restaurants, Japanese grocery stores, and you can walk to the central square and Wawel Castle.

Great location, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast. A couple of niggles that the hotel could improve - bed sheets although clean - a friend noticed a few stains which was not very pleasant at all - we only stayed 2 nights and noticed this on the 2nd night and just tried to forget it. The pillows were also really flat. Randomly we didn't have any loo roll between 3 ladies, when asking reception for this - it seemed like I was asking for a strange request - and we ended up with a massive roll that they gave us - I presume from the toilet in the restaurant which was strange as I just thought loo roll would be included.

The staff were all really welcoming and helpful, the location is fairly good with about a 20min walk to the main square. The hotel itself is very clean but basic and a little dated. Breakfast was very good with a large choice. Bring your own hairdryer!

Good location, within 20mins walk of the old town and 2mins walk from Jewish quarter. Lots of lovely places to eat close by. Hotel itself - clean. Very Basic. Good breakfast. Hairdryer and fridge both useless. Very noisy - road noise, along with a lot of vibration (including the door) when people were moving around the hotel. You can hear everything people are saying as they go to their rooms. We could hear the change over of staff at 6am when they were calling back and forth to each other. Lots of banging doors. Reception staff generally only okay with no apparent local knowledge. Breakfast staff lovely. Bar - none existent, we were there 5 nights including new year and it was open once until 7:30pm and it was double the price of local bars! Only saw restaurant open for breakfast. Photos nothing like the actual hotel, yes it was a reasonable price but have stayed in places of similar price but better quality and surroundings. Will definitely be back to Krakow but not this hotel.

Just got back from a 4 night stay here and can't really fault it for price it cost. On arrival was met by a pleasant lady on reception who quickly checked us in and gave us a free welcome drink for the bar. We had a triple room booked and she gave us this on the 1st floor overlooking the main road out front, this was appreciated as there is no lift which we knew of anyway. Room was of good size, had everything we needed for a short city break, bathroom was nice and modern. Bedroom was clean when we arrived but under the beds had not been cleaned as there was quite a bit of dust, but other than that rest of room was fine. Bathroom was modern and clean. Tea, coffee sugar & kettle to use also. Fridge was not the best as i think it was overheating to be honest with it being in a cupboard so would not get cold enough, i would not store fresh milk in it for example. The stairs outside in corridor are hard wood so when people are coming and going it can be noisy while they pass by & there is a bit of road noise outside which settled down around 1am so if you are a light sleeper i'd recommend ear buds or a room at not over the main road, we couldn't sleep with the window open and the room was very warm even after turning the heating off. The bar downstairs was of decent value and the girl working it was always very helpful & provided good service. Was not busy but nice to have a quiet drink before heading out & sports were on tv if needed. The breakfast buffet was of good value at around £10.50 7am-12pm and you can purchase this whenever you fancy it just turn up. Eat as much as you want ranging from hot & cold foods, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, cakes, nuts, coffee machines, tea, herbal teas & a range of jams & honey etc. Perfect to fill up before going on a day trip ! Location wise it was ok, depends where you want to be but we found ourselves spending a lot of time around the main square which was on average a 20 minute walk each way as there was more going on up there so it was tiresome sometimes especially if you have walking difficulties. But there is trams a short 2 minute walk away if you decide to take them. On the other hand rooms around main square cost quite a bit more so there's pros & cons. 24/7 shop right across the road which was handy and just behind the building you'll find a like a street food court with little outlets selling a variety of different foods fairly cheap. All in all would recommend this as a place to stay, i think some people expect too much for the price they pay. If you just want somewhere to rest your head with no thrills or luxuries then this place is good value. Highly recommend the Zakopane day trip, was the highlight of our trip. 11 hour day but worth it from start to finish 100%, the thermal baths you go to was amazing

I have never rated a hotel as a 2 star but feel this warrants it. I’ll start with the pros: Good location, short walk to main square and attractions. Good selection at breakfast. Comfy beds Cons: Room VERY basic. More like a hostel. Our bathroom door had holes in it. Severe mould all over bathroom ceiling. Shower very clogged and barely worked. Decor very poor. Hairdryer mounted to wall but nowhere to plug in! Air con remote nowhere to be seen. Heating was on though. Very noisy. Could hear our neighbours conversation and lots of noise outside. Fridge was on but everything was warm so not working. Hotel stated if you want room cleaned then to leave your door tag on but there wasn’t one! Although breakfast was good selection they ran out of things very quickly and a long wait for it to be replaced. We knew there was no lift so can’t complain but no offer of assistance with luggage even for my 70 year old mum. The man on reception when we arrived was very blunt and not welcoming. The others were friendly. I have stayed in hotels in Poland before for same price and they were MUCH better. Bar was closed early every night so never got to use it but looked nice! Would not stay again.

Omg NOT THE ROOM WE EXPECTED ....there is no lift here so it's a nightmare when you are on the 3rd floor to get your cases up and no help from reception . We booked a triple room ....it was AWFUL with just 3 beds 1 small wardrobe... 2 chairs of which 1 was broken ...no windows just skylights so no view.... No pictures it was like a prison cell. The 3rd floor triple room was not at all as shown on the website..... it was worst than staying in a CHEAP hostel. The Hotel restaurant was fine food good. .

I booked through a travel agent so you would think they would select a half decent hotel…I have nothing good to say about this place, it is very basic with paper thin walls, our door had a gap at the top, one of the mornings we were woken up by the employees outside our room at 6:30am making noise, went out to see and found they had the door off the next room. This should not be allowed. Room was very poor quality and decor not impressed at all and would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

For the price category absolutely worth staying here. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms basic but completely adequate- clean with comfortable beds, aircon and en-suite. Just a little mention about the size of the shower....bit small so, if you are a bit of a larger person, maybe enquire if there are rooms with a shower over the bath. Location is central (in the Jewish Quarter). Easy walk to Old Town. Convenient 24/7 shop right outside the Hotel. Our room faced the street, this can be a bit noisy in the evenings. No problem for us but if you are a light sleeper, maybe request a room facing the courtyard. Very good breakfast served - Buffet with a wide choice. Additionally, you can order the choice of eggs from the kitchen. Coffee facility in the room with supplies for 1 morning. Maybe ask for extra. We can highly this no-frills Hotel for a pleasant base in Kracow
Response from Property: Dear Peter, Thank you for your detailed and positive review of Aparthotel Spatz. We're delighted to hear that you found our hotel to be a great value for the price and that you appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of our staff. It's great to know that you found your room clean and comfortable, and we appreciate your feedback about the shower size. We’re glad our central location in the Jewish Quarter was convenient for you and that you enjoyed the easy walk to the Old Town. We also appreciate your mention of the potential street noise and suggest requesting a courtyard-facing room for light sleepers. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet with its wide selection and the option to order eggs from the kitchen. We also appreciate your tip about the coffee supplies in the room. Thank you for recommending our property as a pleasant base in Krakow. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future. Warm regards, Mikołaj Kutrzeba Aparthotel Spatz Manager
