No detail was left out. The service and the experience were exceptional. The property is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. We stayed in family tent 2 and it was perfect for our family of four. This was the first of 3 camps we are staying at and I am not sure the experience can be topped. The people are what made the stay so wonderful. A special shout out to John for his kindness and incredible service. Moses thank you for making our room so lovely and welcoming and for helping with laundry. Karia, our guide, who we dubbed the King, because he is exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we wanted and was so kind and patient with our kids. We saw leopards, cheetahs, I lost count of lions, elephants, giraffes, etc. His knowledge and commitment to his craft is unsurpassed. The next two camps have a lot to live up to. He will forever be the King of Maasai to us. Beside the amazing days and evenings with Karia, I want to extend my warmest gratitude to the team for the heartfelt celebration of my husband’s birthday. It was so beautiful and will be a cherished experience for us forever. To the chef, the food was exceptional and every meal delightful. To the security team, thank you for protecting us and walking in the rain. Maggie thank you for being so kind and for your beautiful smile.

This was the second Asilia camp that we stayed at during our 2 1/2 week trip to Africa. This camp is situated along a river, full of hippos. At night, some of the hippos can be a little noisy, so if you are a light sleeper, i would recommend ear plugs. We were in tent number 7 which may be one of the noisier ones. However, this is a first class place. The room was very well situated, facing the river, with 2 chairs and a lounge couch in the tent to sit and enjoy the view. Because it is an open camp, at night a Maasai warrior, with a flashlight and spear, accompanies you to and from your tent. Every one of the workers at the camp are so friendly. At all of the Asilia camps that we went to, a group of them greeted us with a song. We had breakfast in the bush every day, but you could start at camp and have a hot meal if you preferred. And at sundown, we had drinks at a safe place to watch the sunset. One night, they had set up a full bar under a tree in the Maasai Mara to celebrate the sundown. Our guide, LIvingston, was an excellent driver and it was amazing the animal spottings he was able to do. At times, there are lots of 4x4s around an animal sighting, and he was excellent at reading us and knowing when to leave so that we could enjoy more sightings. The food was excellent, the lodge was beautiful, and evenings around the campfire before dinner were magical.

From the minute we arrived until the second we left we were treated like family. We were warmly greeted by singing and every detail was thought of. Every morning our wake-up call was coffe or tea delivered to our tent and every evening our bed was warmed with rubber hot water pads. The food was excellent and they were very cared with our allergies. My gluten free daughter was given every treat we got and wonderful meals. I highly suggest Rejero.

The view of the camp is amazing looking over the river, we saw lots of hippos and crocs. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire trip. The food was amazing, I’m gluten free and they were able to accommodate me, from fresh bread with every meal to the same dessert as everyone else in a gf version. Overall an amazing experience!

The staff and mangers were excellent. They were super nice ,grateful and attentive the whole time. Whether it was always making sure you had a full drink or putting a heating pad in your bed to make sure your bed was warm they would do it. They strived to teach the guests about their culture and created an environment where all the guests could bond and share story’s. You will never get the chance to be hungry with the delicious food that’s ready for you at anytime. The staff member Paul was precious and made are stay extra special. Highly recommend coming here

The camp has been recently refurbished, with a nice update to the tents. The location remains a very good one, right on the Talek River with a crossing point (in the right season) right in front of the lounge area. Hippos and crocs were regularly seen down in the river. It’s worth noting that the camp is not far from the nearest airstrip, and during the day there was the very occasional plane passing overhead just before landing. We had tent #1 here, one of the family tents. This consisted of two large bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twins. Both rooms had a large bathroom connected to it, and the two bedrooms were connected by a comfortable seating area. The only main challenge with the tent was that in the early afternoon the main bedroom got full sunlight, and it got very hot for a few hours. This sun also would shine down on the outdoor sitting area; this area actually didn’t have any chairs or other furniture, perhaps due to the high heat. There was a fan in each bedroom, but during siesta time the tent definitely got warm! I was also a little surprised that the door at the entrance had a gap of a couple of centimeters on the bottom, which meant we had a fairly regular stream of small ants looking for crumbs from our wakeup tray. The food was high quality and always appreciated, we stayed here during Valentine’s Day and there was not only special chocolates (and roses) in the morning but romantic dinner in the evening. The camp has a satellite balcony sitting area that is used for private lunches, but we also sat there a couple of times in the shade to get out of our hot tent. It was really appreciated, and somewhere worth spending time to watch the savannah life pass by. Overall, a really nice camp in a great location to explore the reserve.
