Located in the center of Mt. Koya, the location is easy to understand. The innbo was very kind and I was able to spend a substantial time in a solemn atmosphere. This time, I also made a copy of the Sutra and I also made it. I only looked at the example with a pen, but it took 90 minutes until it was finished. (It is said that it is about 60 minutes.) I was able to participate in the morning work and had a good experience. I feel clean.

On the spacious grounds rich with nature, there is a beautiful garden created by famous modern gardener Osamu Mori. - This facility is a temple lodging. *Temple lodgings were originally accommodation facilities for Buddhist priests and practitioners, but they now also accept regular tourists. A Buddhist temple is also located on site, so both staff and priests will offer hospitality to guests. - Guests that reserve a plan that includes meals at this temple lodging can enjoy Buddhist vegetarian cuisine. *Buddhist vegetarian cuisine follows Buddhist precepts and is prepared with vegetables, beans, and other plant derived ingredients. - When staying at this temple lodging, guests can experience the following. - Sutra Transcription: Transcribe Buddhist sutras. - Religious Service: Observe a ritual where a Buddhist priest chants sutras, etc. (*Every morning from 6:30.) [Notes]The above experiences are current as of Aug. 17, 2017. Provision of the experiences may be cancelled or experiences may not be available depending on the day. And depending on the type of experience, advance notice or a fee may be required, so for those interested in the experiences, please make sure to contact the temple lodging in advance for details. null

The Zhimingyuan has a history of more than 900 years, and there are many rooms in Sufang. The room facilities are simpler, the public bathroom, breakfast and dinner will be delivered to the room, very delicious. The winter room is quite warm. There is a beautiful garden in the inner courtyard. The room facing the garden on the first floor should not be too beautiful, but unfortunately ours is on the second floor. On the top of the end of a corridor in the monastery, I accidentally saw the poems left by President Zhao Puchu when he attended the 1150th anniversary of the Air Sea Into the Sea in 1985.

We stayed for one night. The location really is magic, our room was comfortable and it was nice to attend the early morning ceremony before breakfast. The time for dinner was really early and strict (17:45!) but it's recommended to eat in because everything around there closes early. Even if the curfew was at 21, the staff sent as away from the common spaces where we were quietly enjoying the night view at 20:20, while they let a loud group in the entrance disturb everyone until 21:30, so I was a bit upset for this. I enjoyed the onsen but it was very small, I was lucky it wasn't crowded because no more than 4 people can fit in. I personally liked the vegan dinner and breakfast, beautifully presented, but it's not for every stomach and nobody tells you what you are eating (they only told us ”this is rice, tea and watermelon”, we could guess ourselves lol). In the complex, the experience was good and I recommend it, but it's a bit too expensive for what they offer.

The first time in Sufang, the experience of moving the hospital was very good. The moving hospital was built in 906, and it was dedicated to the king of the Ming Dynasty. The bird feather emperor and queen of the Ping An era were buried in this hospital. At present, 14 rooms are provided, 3 room types, 4 without bathrooms, 8 bathrooms, and 2 bathrooms. This stay is with a bathroom and the room is comfortable and clean. The public bathroom experience is also very good. Breakfast and dinner are very good. In a very beautiful and elegant room, the dining location and meals are arranged in advance, and the waiter will lead the room. Many Sufangs in Gaoye Mountain are facing the street, the courtyard is not facing the street, quiet and chic, a short walk from the bus station.

Our temple served as the imperial seat for Emperor Goshirakawa! The main temple building was constructed during the Edo period!

There are many temples in Koyasan, and Panzhao Temple has the same name as my gymnasium, so I chose it. Although I belong to the Fengshan school, it is still a great experience. From the furnishings in the house to the refined cuisine, and then to the morning class, it is a great experience. Although I encountered bad weather, landslides, and was stranded on the mountain, I decided to go down the mountain to the nearest The train station, (although it is not open to traffic) spent more than 4,000 yen to carpool with the Japanese guy back to Osaka, but the whole Koyasan trip, including the experience at Panshoin, is still great, and I will go again next time! I still haven't covered a pile of royal seals😙

Especially different accommodation experience. Surrounded by monasteries and being in a Buddhist resort, it is awe-inspiring. A series of activities such as meditation and chanting are arranged in the temple. Follow the monks in the monastery to do Buddhist deeds at the prescribed time. The food is vegetarian, very light and full. The door of the room is unlocked, but there is a safe in the room. Public toilets and public baths are fairly convenient.

We stayed at this temple for one night and it was worth it. You have a vegan breakfast and dinner cooked for you whilst you stay in a traditional Japanese style room. Location wise, it was perfect for us. The cemetery is about a 20-25 minute walk which isn’t too bad as you explore the area anyway. The monks were very welcoming and I had a fun conversation with one about football (they love Tomiyasu and Mitoma). They spoke English very well and I could communicate easily, even one monk who couldn’t speak much English just pulled out his phone and used translator to speak. In the morning, you’re invited to join their morning prayers which is a unique experience. It’s about 30 minutes long and certainly something you don’t want to miss. Some things to be aware of is, for us, we had the option of having dinner served at either 5 or 5:30pm. Dinner for the most part was tasty and delicious. I’m open minded and willing to try things I wouldn’t normally have - but I can imagine picky eaters not enjoying some of the dishes. Also, curfew is around 9pm. They literally shut the temple doors. So be careful about doing night tours of the cemetery that start at 7. (We went on our own accord as it was dark by 5pm anyway)

The hardware is unique and beautiful! There are two aspects to the software: 1. If you are a true Buddhist, you will feel that the commercial atmosphere is very strong, and the morning and evening classes are irregular. 2. The basic services are not up to standard, such as frozen food. It is disappointing that hot water or water boiling tools are not provided in snowy weather. of!

The Temple is beautiful and we enjoyed the nippon decors. The dinner atmosphere is very special, we feel disgusted. The dinner was good. The geographical location is excellent. Not liked · It is true that the monkeys' life is minimalist, but the price of the room with private bathroom is exorbitant. We would have liked a water-fledged isothermal carpet with two glasses. It is not an exaggerated demand, it is ecological and cheap in terms of price. Breakfast was served during the ceremony. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. To speed up things, cold dishes can be placed before our arrival, but hot dishes should be served when we sit. We were disappointed that the night walk with monks was not included in the high price of the room. (About $20 per person for a night at $800).

GGuest UserThere are many shokubos in Koyasan. If you don't understand Japanese, you could book through one through the shokubo association and they will just randomly assign one to you or one of those travel hotel websites (with limited selections). I stumbled upon Komyo-in website which has an OK english translation page and let me book direct. Most of the reviews are on google and i think it deserves one here. Communication: Mostly through google translate and it worked fine. The hospitality was great. Everything was well organised. Nothing was too much of a hassle. I stayed here for 2 nights. I wanted to do the cemetery night tour and the monk told me that he would wait for me and not lock the door if i returned pass the curfew hrs (9pm). I didn't think it would be a problem but they didn't want me to worry. Location: The temple is located just behind the Eko-in, where the night tour starts. It is also located near the bus-stop if you are coming from the koyasan cable station. Food: I ordered the breakfast and dinner on both nights. There were delicious and adequate for a standard portion. They have the larger portion selection. Room: Spacious as a solo traveler. They provided me a gas heater and it was warm enough when i was in the room. Tea and cookies were complimentary. Clearly, you have to utilise the public bath and toilet. Bath time was given for each gender. Atmosphere: It might be like the big temple but i really quite liked the small temple setting. I also participated the morning ritual one morning. Highly recommended.

SSuzanne2303We made our way to Koyasan with our small group of 5 plus our guide, via a maze of trains, busy stations and platforms, a furnicular up the mountain and finally a bus to our temple stay. It was cold weather, even though it’s April. There were still a number of cherry trees blossoming- so pretty. The temple was attractive and comfortable ( if you count sleeping on the floor, sitting on the floor for meals comfortable!). Our room was heated but the rest of the temple was not so it was cool walking to the onsen and the meal room. Our room had the futon, pillows ( very uncomfortable), a low table, small TV, wifi, hanging space. Our evening meal and breakfast were traditional Japanese vegetarian and interesting food. We purchased sake for a very reasonable price with the evening meal. Beer was also available. The onsen was a good cultural experience ( and even better because I was there alone!) Our accommodation was very close to the Okunoin cemetery which is an absolute must see.

PPinkozxcIt wasn't the most pleasant experience considering that the males n females had to share toilets and that some other rooms had private toilets n bath instead. And also the fact that the walls are super thin hence whomever is connected to your room if their loud or they don't like your voice volume than you might get kicked to the curb. It's a very frustrating experience for sure since it tests one's patience n ability to let go. It's training for the customers n monks alike. I met a Japanese friend here whom shared with me how rude the monks and the staff were to one another n I think that shows the quality of this place however we were pretty lucky as there was a male who spoke mandarin n a male who spoke English both quite well in this place n though the mandarin speaker was quite condescending towards the other monks, the English speaker was really nice n patient overall. He helped me out a lot since we couldn't communicate with the others n seemed to be the only customers that spoke English whom booked this place by ourselves, the others around seemed to have a guide n were usually in groups. It's a unique experience n I recommend just staying for one night or going to the other temples. I went for the ajikan meditation at eko in temple n the service n cleanliness was on another level for sure. The food here was also really simple. Also a must see are the tomb area n the walk to kobold daishi temple. As a sensitive person, I felt the overwhelming love n presence and the cleanse of my heart of this amazing soul over there. To me, that was worth it. Remember to clean yourself with the water out front before going in.... and of course to the amazing fateful friendship that occurred for us with the jap-********* couple we met. It was the next fav of mine after the time spent in nara visitor center. That was truly magickal n how I wished we stayed longer there. But all was good cause the way I planned this trip made it so that we would have this fateful encounter to the end of our trip.
