Had an amazing retreat..The private pool villa was worth the price..amenities,food,ayurvedic treatment,yoga and meditation was all fabulous..the staff were so humble,friendly and always at service wen needed..the backwaters and shikara ride is worth mentioning..the rainy weather added to the resorts beauty..every area within the resort is so beautiful..can just stay der watching the place all day...best vacation of my life ever..Thank u to my friend who accompanied me,thank u to the crew of Niramaya for everything..Gratitude..😊😊 Will refer my friends n family n also looking fwd to come again..

This place clearly is past its prime from the looks of it. Our Deluxe Lagoon view room is past its ‘best by’ date. The furniture is fraying, the mirror has big stains, the room had a stink when we checked in, the aircon works only at one setting - 19 degrees. The woodwork has been shoddily repaired, the glass door has turned yellow with grime. The maintenance and upkeep of the property evidently de***ds serious attention. Sadly, when I attempted to show some pictures of the room to the ***agement, it barely caused any concern. I was informed that the extended Covid lockdown - and the tropical climate and moist air, has taken a huge toll on the property. In other words, we really can’t do much! However, supposedly a revamp of the property is underway - doesn’t help us though. While the explanation maybe valid, the nonchalant response was galling and totally unexpected. And any way, why shouldn’t we, as paying guests, expect better? At breakfast this morning, the papaya was un-ripened, the pineapple was overripe and discoloured. And the best. - they couldn’t find decent, fresh and ripe local bananas to serve! At lunch, the Thai green curry was spicy - so spicy and none of us four could eat more than one spoon. We refused to eat it and asked them to take it back. Yet amazingly, it appeared on our bill - no apologies offered. Naturally, we refused to pay for the dish. Quite eventful first 24 hours.

One of the best experience in my life. Beautiful location, ambience and hospitality were top notch. My masseuse Jiniya was highly skilled, spa is impeccable, artist Nobel was v patient, Managers Priya & Mayank provided us with outstanding customer service and ALL of the house staff were excellent. If I were to revisit, I’d rebook here.

Kumarakom Lake Resort is a true resort. Situated on beautiful Lake that attached to the ocean by many canals where people live and fish..The bathrooms are completely outside which is a first for me and I had the pleasure of enjoying a Thunder and lighting storm using the Commode. I used the spa and was not impressed. The tables had no doughnut hole for your face which was very uncomfortable for someone from the Mus.Dr.. Benny who was a so called Doctor reviews your application and directs your therapist on what areas to work extra on. No body ever read nor did the react to what you wrote. The take away is that the resort is exceptional and the staff is to.

Went on a girls trip touring Kerala and we stayed here - and it did not disappoint. From being picked up at the dock in Kumarkom and taken to the hotel on a boat, to the welcome music and reception upon our arrival - we loved every minute of it. The check-in was easy and fast, and they helped us reserve a houseboat for our afternoon (which we reserved prior to our arrival) to have lunch. It was so convenient because the hotel has a place for the houseboat to pick you up right from the hotel. The rooms are very nice, clean, and we loved staying in our little cottage. The evening entertainment was really nice from a Bharatanatyam performance, to the live music in the restaurant. Loved the array of activities. Yoga, pottery making class, cooking class, and many more - which were all part of your stay at no additional cost. There may have been other things for a cost, but not those activities - which we enjoyed observing and participating in. The absolute best part of this hotel is the Ayurvedic spa. We did the spa in Kochi and in Kovalam - and THIS was the best most authentic Ayurvedic spa treatments. If there is one thing you must do, it's the spa treatment. You will get a consultation with the Ayurvedic dr and they recommend the best treatment(s) for you. Overall - it was wonderful.

Rhythm, kumarakom is a very homely and beautiful resort. Its pool is huge and very well maintained. Entire staff of rhythm, kumarkom is very polite and efficient. They always carry smiles on their face whenever you come across any one of them. I would like to mention mrs. Sheryl (hope i have spelled her name correctly) in vembanad restaurant ***** with their entire kitchen n serving staff have been excellent. Overall our experience has been wonderful. Food is very tasty. We tried almost everything from their menu in our 6 nights stay. Cuisine from south to north to continental to italian, all dishes were well prepared. I would give 5 stars here for entire experience and food, service. Talking about room, their pool side cottages are excellent. Very clean and well maintained. Their house keeping staff is very efficient and prompt. I would give 5 stars to them as well. Thank you!

Easily accessible from the Kollam Theni highway; it is one of the few fine dining restaurants in Kottayam town. The white structure looks more like a Manor. The restaurant typically has an English background with pictures of royal family members all around. Furniture and fittings are ornately done in red and gold to match the British era. Staff are very polite and soft spoken minus the stiff British upper lip. If you tend to enjoy a traditional banana leaf meal while travelling this is not the place but those who enjoy non vegetarian dishes in an English ambience may relish the experience. Washrooms can be dirty and damp marring the outward opulence of the hotel. Buttermilk with traditional spices was enjoyable. Pista ice cream though not inhouse was refreshing too. Special mention to the courteous lady staff who politely accomodated our requests.
