Location was ok , there is a supermarket opposite the hotel . Staff was helpful. If you drive , hotel has carpark but only limited lots.

We stayed at Kotohira Hotel this night as this was the only room available and we did not want to stay in a hot spring hotel because, firstly, it was flat and secondly, it was not far from Kotohira-gu Shrine and we could also walk to Chichihama Beach.
The hotel has a long history, but it has been renovated and the rooms, lobby, and restaurant are quite comfortable. There is a bathhouse on the top floor, the 8th floor, where you can shower and take a hot bath (not a hot spring). There is free coffee in the lobby.
Suitable for self-driving people, free parking.
There is a supermarket opposite the hotel and a Family mart convenience store next to it.
The only thing is, there is no double bed☹️☹️☹️
