Alila Kothaifaru Maldives

The hotel has very good food options and all are very well made. The staffs are very attentive and friendly, always coming to chat with us and giving advice on activities and history of Maldives. I’m The hotel offers good variety of water sports so that we won’t get bored. The sand is fine on the beach and the water quality is very suitable for snorkelling. We can easily find lots of fish by swimming a hundred meters from the shore. We tried SPAs, table tennis, snooker, gym facilities. We joined scuba diving, fishing and they were all very well organised. The only shortfall is the pest problem. Lots of mosquitoes caused serious problems at the beginning. The staff should have warned guests seriously about this so that we can get prepared (closing doors and apply repellant) otherwise you will get really bad bites by various bugs. We stayed at beach villa and every night it’s like a battle of all kinds of bugs - gigantic cockroaches, snails, worms, caterpillars, flies, lizards, spiders, red ants and sand bugs. I even found one flying ant in bed one night. This really ******* me during the entire trip.

It was my first trip to Maldives & i picked Alila, love both the room interior and exterior. Food was surprisingly good 😍 Me and my bf enjoyed alot here!

We had a family vacation in the Maldives and stayed at this resort. It was all our first time. We celebrated my daughter's 15th birthday here. Our stay was wonderful, and the staff was also great. I can say our Housekeeping guy at that time who came and cleaned our room was exceptional. He made birthday greetings for my daughter using those leaves and formed them. It was very thoughtful. And my daughter got sick during her birthday, she's been throwing up and bought her to the clinic and she was given some medicines. We stayed at one of those villas in the water as we wanted to experience it, and the room was great and with a good view. We were just hoping that during our stay we could witness a beautiful sunset, however, because of the bad weather at that time we weren't able to see it until we checked out. The water was perfect turquoise blue, it's amazing! The sand is super powdery and white. They have the best breakfast too, a lot of good choices on the menu. They have a buffet as well. We tried their Umami restaurant during our last night as we tried to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The food was perfect! All delicious food. Overall, it was a great stay!
