Останавливались на один день... Хватило чтоб понять что это просто гостевой дом... Есть чистый бассейн но подсветки в нем нет и плавать не комфортно.. Если хотите там поесть, меню нет... Цены договорные.. По настроению хозяев наверное. Вай фай местами... Рядом с номеров хозяина которой со своей семьей живет в этом же доме... В 9 вечера все выключается и надо ходить спрашивать разрешение поплавать в бассейне.. Лежаков возле бассейна нет, они возле номеров? Для чего не понятно. Завтрак хороший. Временами слышно поезд. Горячая вода есть. На твердую тройку гостевой дом.

Just wanted to do a review of sankarest villa. I am a female solo traveller who was heading back to the airport after two weeks travelling. Wanted a quiet place to chill before hitting colombo. Stumbled across this placed and rocked up with no booking. From the moment I arrived it felt right. The pool area was gorgeous and despite having no booking warmly welcome by grandma. 3 generations of one family live here. The house is well maintained but not super chic. The rooms are rustic but have everything you need. Food was amazing. Despite being the only person there felt very welcome. Loved being in nature and took a lovely walk on the beach.you can walk down the beach to nearby hotels if you want food or drink. Lovely place to relax

Amazing food, clean and beautiful rooms and generous hospitality. I will continue to visit in the future. We spent time on the balcony sipping tea and listening to the family go about their day, listening to Senitha prepare her food and on day trips to the local river and ceremonial occasions at the temple. Sanka Rest will always be on my itinerary when traveling in Sri Lanka.

This family run b&b has been one of the best experiences for us in Sri Lanka. Mr.Koni and family had taken great care, kept the place super clean and aesthetic and provided wholesome home food. If you are looking for a place away from the crowd, this is right for you. Bonus: There is a virgin beach at walking distance.

My sister and I chose Sankarest for our first visit to Sri Lanka. We are already talking about going back. This is a small family run place with four guest rooms, but we were the only guests as it was rainy season. We didn't mind. We love the tropical rains and enjoyed swimming in the rain. The beach is very near, but we didn't swim there as the seas were rough and not safe, so we were especially glad for the pool. Breakfast was included and we also opted to have dinner here each evening for an additional charge. It was so lovely to know we were going to have a fantastic meal without having to go search for a place to eat each day. Sanka is a tour guide so he took us on outings according to what we wanted to do, and his mother is an amazing cook. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

I love this place and the people who own and run it. It’s a small family run business and I have stayed there every trip I have had to Sri Lanka. It remains my favourite of all places. I think I’ve been there 4 or 5 times. The food cooked by Sunita and Antica (not sure of the spelling) is, without a doubt, the best in Sri Lanka. Sanka is a marvellous driver and tour guide and the rooms are super clean and comfy. Koni and the entire family are generous, gorgeous souls who can’t do enough for you. I love it!

This was my favourite Sri Lankan experience. I am a bit of a princess and have travelled to many counties. The Sanka Rest beds and bathroom are exceptionally clean and comfy. The pool was fabulous. I know everyone says it but, Sunita’s food is the best I have had in Sri Lanka (she cooks with cinnamon wood ) and we saw her drying her spices and then pounding them into aromatic heaven. But most importantly for me was the generosity of the whole family I will be back.

After two fabulous weeks of travelling in Sri Lanka with Sanka, an accredited tour guide we arrived at Sankarest. The family run villa is welcoming and attentive to your every need. The rooms are large, sparkling clean with comfortable beds and beautiful wooden decor. The adjoining balcony, where we spent a lot of our time overlooks a large tranquil lagoon full of bird life. Then there is Senitha's food which is absolutely amazing and undoubtedly the best I ate while in Sri Lanka. Sankarest will always be on my itinerary.
