Marmari Beach Hotel

10 night stay at Atlantica Marmari Beach, started off nice and welcoming at reception. Check in was fine, although we had to wait on the buggy which never arrived to take our luggage to our room the young man on reception had to end up helping us to our room. He did miss out some key details about our stay, for example the A la Carte restaurant booking, opening times for coffee/ juice bar and other things we had to figure out ourselves. Room We had emailed prior to our stay for a double bed, surprisingly our room was big and spacious. We had a room with double bed and another room with two twin beds. Two balconies and a nice big bathroom with two sinks. Plenty of cupboard space and space for two large cases. Air con worked fine and we were able to keep on in one room whilst sleeping so we didn’t give ourselves a cough! Housekeeping We stayed 10 nights and our bedding was changed once, we were given one fresh shower mat our whole stay so had to use the hand towels to avoid the monsoon of water that came out the shower each time we used it. Not ideal. One day we came back and the bins hadn’t been emptied, our towels were still left on the floor and the toilet/ sink area hadn’t been cleaned. I don’t think our floor was cleaned once as our feet were dusty most days. Food Now this is were we were majorly disappointed, this hotel should be given zero stars for the food that is available to guests. Having stayed in many all inclusive resorts over the years, being spoiled on a different holiday last year we expected a high standard. The food was simply awful. Snack bars serve the same food every single day. Absolutely no change! Human beings are not built to eat cheap hamburgers and chips everyday nor eat greasy fatty pork gyros everyday. Seriously disappointing considering the amount of money we paid for this holiday. You are basically left to your own devices (yes that’s fine for breakfast, lunch and dinner) but some hotels/ resorts we’ve stayed in the past snack bars provide table service which is nice after you’ve been relaxing all day. This is not the case here, snacks are again like the buffet style waiting in a queue to put greasy food into a cardboard tray. The main restaurant does themed nights, Asian, Italian, Green etc. Due to the poor quality of the food we ate out 8/10 nights. Breakfast was fine, the usual options. Lunch we never ate lunch once due to the options being the same fish dish everyday and rabbit stew. Dinner is just another level of poor, we couldn’t believe our eyes one night when we seen that it was burgers and chips. The same burgers and chips that had been served every single day in the Fork House. Very very disappointing! Totally get its all inclusive and you cannot please everyone but out of all the all inclusive experiences we’ve had this is probably the worst. The area of the buffet section is far too small, so you need to time it well otherwise you end up waiting in queues and people are rushing around with pl

Wonderful time with atlantica staff. Kind and friendly. Lovely rooms and place. Yusuf, Lali, and Binda they are very kind and friendly. Taverna and fork restaurants are amazing. Lovely food with world best chief. It was literally amazing.

We stayed for 7 days for the October Half term 2024. We were absolutely delighted with our experience, from the huge variety of food available throughout the hotel to the kids disco and evening entertainment. The staff were all really friendly and hotel was extremely clean and tidy. We had a room which was clean and modern, it was in the small side but met our needs, and wifi was pretty good - it did seem to buffer during times when people must be back in their rooms. But it didn't cause us any problems, our daughter had her ipad on and off during the stay and she didn't have an issue with WiFi. Our 6 year old is a very very picky eater, she loved the chicken nuggets, fish fingers and chips. And she loved the hot chocolates from JCs coffee bar (for a small additional fee but worth the money as she is so picky). She also loved the ice cream. The only thing I would say is that the bus service was really full, so we didn't manage to get a bus into Kos Town, but I think if we knew what solutions to put in place we would have done this. I.e wait at a different bus stop and get there earlier. All things you learn from going back to the same place, which I'm sure we will do as we honestly had such a lovely time. The weather was absolutely perfect too, hot but a nice crisp heat , not like our UK weather. Haha

The ambiance was beautiful, vasiliki was an attentive yet respectful server. The food was delicious. Highly recommend. The restaurant was quiet as it was the end of the season, but the meal was very agreeable and we had a great evening would definitely return.
