It was a lovely visit to the property the new hyatt, restaurant service was extremely well at cal on .a good place for the friends to enjoy, the servers were very good ,prapti & ishika was really good and best at her service. The cocktails and foods was worth appreciating. Thank you

This is just a fabulous hotel. New, stylish and modern. The lobby is nice and the rooms are quite comfortable and well appointed, though standard rooms are not very large. Service was excellent all around, very polite, personal and professional, providing good recommendations and attention. The best thing about the place is the food. Ate and drank at both restaurants and the rooftop bar and all were excellent. The food choices were creative, well prepared and well priced and they had a respectable array of drinks. Unlike some American hotels that seem to think all tourists want the same generic western food while traveling, this place had great Indian and Asian choices, including some really good Thai and Chinese-ish dishes. I normally avoid hotel restaurants but looked forward to and enjoyed every meal here, including the nice breakfast buffet that had South Indian and Bengali offerings (can't comment on the eggs and meat because I don't eat them) and also pretty good pastries. The neighborhood is very residential and a tad calmer and quieter being on a smaller street- but everything is relative in Kolkata so if you need to be in a hotel that is more isolated from the noise and crowds and chaos, there are other choices. But for me I liked that the Centric is very, well, central. The hotel and all food outlets provide top service, high value and high quality at reasonable cost and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

An incident happened on the last night of my stay. I found the door of my room to be fully wide open when I got back from dinner to my room. I went out for dinner at around 8:30 PM and when I returned to my room at around 11 PM I found the door of my room to be fully wide open. I could clearly remember that when I left the room, I did close the door of my room. Hence I complained the front desk and asked them to check. One of the staffs from the front desk ***** with the head of security came up to my room. Firstly the head of security asked me to explain him the matter again as if he did not know anything, so I had to explained him once more about the incident. After explaining him he said, he checked the CCTV footage and he found that it was me who had mistakenly kept the door open while leaving the room. Absurd! This type of door automatically closes unless the door is intentionally kept wide open at 90 degree angle and clearly there was no way I would keep the door open in this way. Therefore, I asked him that I would like to see the CCTV footage as he was constantly telling me that it was me who kept the door open and that they have rules that they cannot show the CCTV footage to their guests. I kept telling him that I would like to see the footage with my own eyes for my self satisfaction but he kept denying and was trying to force me to believe him to what he says. If he was true to what he had said, he should have the courage to show the evidence. As he was lying he was afraid to show me the footage and kept of giving excuses about rules and regulations. But he denied and while the conversation went ***** his behavior got inappropriate as I was not believing him. I would have definitely called the police if I did not have flight to catch the next day and also if I had lost something from my room but to my luck I did not lose anything as all our luggages were locked and there was nothing valuable to steal. I will never recommend anyone Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata Hotel for their stay at Kolkata.

The breakfast service was really good at Yayavar. The dinner menu at the restaurant is really creative as it features dishes from various parts of India. The rooms and bathroom were clean, and the staff was super helpful. Housekeeping was prompt and always left the room looking like new.

My partner and I stayed for two days and we absolutely loved it! The staff was very courteous (special shout out to Aniket from the front office for making us feel so welcome), and the entire establishment was crystal clean. We also loved the breakfast and in-room dining food and experience (I highly recommend the waffles for breakfast). We also found a lot of great places to visit easily accessible from the hotel. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting to explore Kolkata!

Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few minor hiccups that are worth mentioning. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with clean, modern rooms and a welcoming ambiance. The location is ideal for anyone looking to explore the area, with major attractions and restaurants within walking distance. Upon check-in, the staff were courteous and efficient, and we appreciated how smooth the process was. However, one thing that stood out was that we weren’t given a room tour or any details about the amenities, which would have been helpful, especially since this was our first stay at the property. Additionally, an extra bed was included in our room, but we were not informed about this upon arrival. Unfortunately, this led to some confusion on the first night, and my mother ended up having an uncomfortable sleep on the couch. We had to ask at reception the following morning, and only then did we discover the extra bed option, which could have easily solved the issue from the start. The breakfast, on the other hand, was delightful! A wide variety of options were available, from fresh fruits, pastries, and cereals to cooked options like eggs, paranthas, Dosa. Everything was freshly prepared and well-presented, and the quality was excellent. The dining area was spacious, and the staff were attentive, ensuring that the buffet was always stocked and the tables were clean. It is a great choice for a comfortable stay with a fantastic breakfast offering. However, a bit more attention to detail in communication, such as providing a room tour and ensuring guests are aware of amenities like extra beds, would go a long way in improving the overall guest experience. Overall 4.5 star out of 5 from my side.
