Swimming with Dolphins at Rapopo Resort – Unforgettable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visited July 2025 An absolutely magical experience at Rapopo Plantation Resort in Kokopo! We were lucky enough to swim with hundreds of dolphins in crystal-clear blue waters—truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Huge thanks to Sir James Pang for his amazing hospitality and warm welcome. Every detail was perfectly organised, and the care taken to make the experience comfortable and safe was evident from the start. A special shoutout to Leonard, our skipper, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the local marine life and navigated the waters expertly. His insights made the trip even more meaningful. Highly recommend this if you’re in East New Britain—whether you’re visiting Kokopo or staying at the resort, make sure this dolphin encounter is on your list!

Had a great time at Rapopo Resort in Kokopo with its own private beach and crystal clear water. The overwater bar is a perfect place to have an evening drink and amazing pool. We did the dolphin tour and it was an absolute highlight! Service throughout the stay was warm, attentive, and friendly. Would highly recommend Rapopo Resort if visiting Kokopo.

I love the environment and staff were friendly. The restaurant and food were excellent. I would like to return for holiday sometime soon and enjoy the tourist activities like swimming with the dolphins, watch beautiful sunset, sites visits and more.

Rapopo is perfectly located to experience all that Kokopo and Rabaul have to offer. The tour booking office organised all of our excursions, helping us experience the culture and the beauty of the region. We could then relax in the afternoon snorkelling around the reefs located just in front of the resort, by the amazing pool or having a drink overlooking the water. Megan and her staff were amazing. They were always smiling, friendly and helpful. The day spa was just the remedy needed after the volcano walk. The rooms were clean and spacious, with the air conditioning very refreshing after a hot day! A very relaxing, safe place to stay.

Amazing slice of paradise. Love the pool and food. There's also snorking on the private beach and a good mix of local and western food. Staff are friendly and it's just so beautiful. Try catching a sunset overlooking the sea with the mountains in the background.

The beach is quiet and usually calm. Clear waters thriving with marine life. The lobster mornay was the best I had. The staffs very friendly and accomodating. We love the quiet and peace that we had at Rapopo. Rapopo is a hidden gem. We enjoyed our stay.

I spent a few days at Rapopo Plantation Resort and loved every minute. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and the staff made me feel right at home, warm and helpful without being over the top. The room was spacious with a gorgeous ocean view, and the whole place has a calm, laid-back vibe. Perfect for just unplugging and breathing for a bit. The food? Incredible. The lobster and fish were so fresh, caught locally and full of flavor. I ended up ordering seafood almost every meal, and it never disappointed. Evenings were my favorite, watching the sunset with a drink by the beach, just soaking it all in. If you're traveling alone and want a quiet, friendly spot with amazing food and nature, Rapopo is a gem.

I had the most amazing experience at this hotel and can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Their warmth and professionalism truly made our stay exceptional. One of the absolute highlights was the dolphin viewing experience arranged by the hotel. Watching these beautiful creatures playfully swim just off the coast was magical—it’s something I’ll never forget. The hotel staff even provided great tips on the best times to go for the most sightings! The seafood here was out of this world. Every meal felt like a fine dining experience, with fresh, flavorful dishes that showcased the best local catches. The grilled snapper and seafood pasta were especially memorable—absolutely delicious! The combination of natural beauty, gourmet food, and outstanding service made this one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with unique wildlife experiences and incredible hospitality, this is the place to be!

I stayed at Rapopo Plantation Resort and it was honestly such a great experience. The food was definitely the highlight, every meal was super tasty and felt like it was made with care. My room was clean, comfy, and really relaxing. The staff were also very nice and helpful all throughout my stay. I was also happy and proud to see a Filipino working there, super friendly and made me feel at home. Overall, it was a really chill and memorable trip!!!
