We had an amazing stay at this resort. The staff were great and very helpful. They offered a shuttle to and from the pier which was great. They had scooter located right at the hotel to rent which is definitely they way to get around and explore koh Tao, don’t try to get around by vehicle it takes too long. The resort itself was amazing, breakfast was great and because its location up on the hill it made for some really awesome sunset pictures. The restaurant closes at 3 but honestly there are so many great restaurants in town that you will want to head there for dinner. The location might be the best part as koh Tao is a pretty busy little island and so it is nice to get out of the chaos so you can relax a bit in peace. Overall this resort was an amazing experience and I would definitely stay here again. Don’t listen to some of the other reviews, I was skeptical about staying here after I had read some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised once we got to the resort.

Pros: The hotel is new and has good facilities. Each room is well-arranged and has a sense of design. The hotel's flower garden is also carefully designed.

The view from the room on the mountain is very good. You can see the sea. It is also very quiet and comfortable. You can take a golf cart to ferry instead of climbing by yourself. It's very nice! The room is clean and the service is good. I still recommend it!

My family and I spent a week at Tarna Resort and had a great experience.
Pros:
1. Scuba Diving: One of the standout features of Tarna is the on-site scuba diving instructors. Johnny and his team are professional, patient, and knowledgeable.
2. Friendly Staff: The team is warm and helpful.
3. Clean Rooms: Comfortable and tidy accommodations.
4. Great Breakfast: Simple but delicious options to start the day.
5. Good Location: Within walking distance to many restaurants. About 10-15 minute walk from the beach.
Cons:
1. Steep Hill: The resort is on a hill, making the walk back a bit tough, though scooters are available for rent directly at the hotel.
2. Stairs: Might be challenging for families with young children.
3. Early Restaurant Hours: The on-site dining closes early, but there are nearby options.
4. Water Pressure: Not the best; showers could be hotter.
Overall, our stay at the Tarna was enjoyable and the positives certainly outweighed the negatives.

Excellent hotel, I had a separate villa, everything was thought out to the smallest detail, a magnificent view of the Sai Ri Bay and the sunset. Attentive attitude of the staff, unfortunately, does not always work, a golf cart takes you to the villa, a couple of times it did not wait. Breakfasts are not very varied, but everything is tasty and fresh. The staff helped with booking a ferry, the cost is the same as everywhere on the island, there is no point in looking elsewhere
