Hotels in Ao Cho, Koh Samet

Beautiful well-groomed area, beautiful beach, live music and fire show in the evening in the restaurant. Calm and relaxed atmosphere. There are a lot of fish near the shore. Although the rooms are not new, they are spacious and have plenty of storage space. The daughter is delighted with the canopy on the bed. I think we'll come back here again.

The resort model has good service. The hotel's own beach is very nice, and you can also go diving. It is quiet and comfortable overall. The hotel's own meals are also good. It is 10 minutes away from the town by motorcycle. It is recommended to rent a motorcycle to stay. On weekends, you can book a speed ship to pick you up at the hotel beach and take you back to Ban Phe Pier.

We returned here a year later because this particular beach is very ”sunk into the soul”. And what is worth noting: The modernization of the room stock was carried out, the house with a sea view turned out to be excellent in terms of amenities and with stunning sea views! New clean renovation, soft bed. They added a beach bag, a branded hat, and a bar in the refrigerator, like in five-star hotels. Well done! Commendable! The hotel's restaurant has delicious food. Great location on Vongduan beach. Very spacious , clean bungalows; nice staff; amenitiesare basic but in line with other similar hotels in koh Samet. A reading light would be nice. They explain at check in that room cleaning has to be requested by hanging the sign, you might have to draw the cleaners attention then they will clean the room. Breakfast is ok, mostly Thai options ; a couple of sweets and more choice of fruit would be nice. The only real minus is the rock hard bed, same as sleeping on the floor. They should not allow boats to land at the beach among swimmers, there is a jetty few meters away... better arrange a porter service for those who don't want to carry their bags.

Wonderful, soulful, homely hotel. Like at the dacha. We lived in an economy inexpensive room. Clean, everything was thought out. Hair dryer, beach bag, umbrella. White bed linen. Air conditioning is away from the bed, comfortable to sleep, set so that it does not blow too much. Thanks to the staff for their friendliness! Wongduen beach is good in the morning, after lunch the sea is muddy, we went to Ao chor beach, not far to walk. From 10 along the beach we carried fruits, chicken, grilled fish. There is a cafe on the shore. We left back on a speedboat, the pier on the beach is 300 baht. One small minus, closer to the night near our house a toad screamed loudly 😂.

The hotel is located a bit far from the business service area, but the beach area near the hotel feels a bit serene because there are not many people staying and it is away from the business area. The facilities in the hotel are average. There is only one stool in the room. You can only sit on the bed when you turn the room. There is no space between the washroom and the shower room. There is only a towel rack inside and no place to hang a change of clothes.

Been to Samed Cabana on numerous occasions and really can't beat the Beachfront cabanas. However it's really disappointing and irritating to meet an unfriendly staff at the lobby. Poor service skills and definitely not the Thai way to greet guests. Hotel needs to seriously consider changing the front office manager. All the other staff are great except for one dinner where I had given them food to warm (food for my kids) and they served it to another guests! And I can speak Thai! Absolutely ridiculous. Shall return provided front office goes through a hospitality course.

The family room is average in my opinion. The wooden house is old and noisy at night. The shower in the toilet is very small, but there is breakfast. It is a few steps away from the beach. The hotel is not located at the pier. After staying here for a few days, we moved to the pier. I didn't book the new hotel with Ctrip app, so I asked directly. It is cheaper, more affordable and cleaner. The hotel we booked later is very close to the pier and the largest beach. It is very convenient. I still live here now and play for two more days! The second picture is the hotel we booked later. The hygiene is very good. You can compare it. The family room of the new hotel is also very cheap and very nice. We will move in tomorrow. We mainly go to the beach to lie down. We don't have high requirements for hotels. We don't think it's necessary to pay one or two thousand yuan a night for a room on the island, hehe

Please be aware: if you don't book the deluxe room, you will not receive a bungalow, but rather a room located in a rather unattractive main building. I found this quite misleading, as all the pictures shown online exclusively featured the bungalows. For this reason, I strongly recommend booking the deluxe room. My negative rating applies *solely* to the standard (non-bungalow) room and the deceptive images presented during the booking process. The photos displayed are NOT what you will get when booking a standard room!

Was a reasonable stay for one night and the breakfast decent range of choice. Room was clean but the only thing which made me concerned was when it came to booking the grand deluxe room It stated sea view room you can only see a little bit just a heads up for anybody staying here. Would stay here again in the future.
