Hello everyone,
It was supposed to be a dream vacation that turned into a nightmare.
We arrived at the accommodation earlier than the check-in time.
A very annoyed person appeared at the reception who
probably had problems with her children.
We introduced ourselves and an employee accompanied us to the
booked luxury room with a sea view.
But no luck, we followed the employee back
to the street.
There a door was opened and we entered a room that was pictured exactly like the luxury room, but only had one window that could be opened towards the street.
But it got even better, this room did not have its own bathroom.
We immediately complained about the room, but all the other rooms were occupied.
We were also told that we had booked the same room.
What madness, who would book such a “luxury room” for a
vacation?
After that we immediately canceled the room on Trip-Com. Now it got really exciting, we corresponded with about 5 different people from Trip-Com. In short, because Trip-Com puts customer satisfaction first, you could generously transfer €80! Trip-Com investigated and spoke to the landlord, who stated that the room was booked as it was and would have a bathroom. We have a booking confirmation that says: - Luxury room - Picture of the luxury room with sea view - There is no mention of the street access and window, or the lack of a bathroom. When Trip-Com was asked about this, they replied: - They spoke to the landlord again, who confirmed that there was a bathroom - Regarding the offer with a sea view, pictures are not meaningful! So folks, if you book with Trip-Com, it does not have to be the booked object of your desire. Trip-Com does not believe its customers who find a pile of rubble on site, because they were never there. Greetings
