Seaboard Bungalow

An island of Italy on the luxurious shore of Haad Yao. Breakfast with perfect mozzarella and a fantastic lunch: pasta with gorgonzola and carbonara, real Italy on Phangan. Clean beach, hotel on the first line, great atmosphere of relaxation and vibe of rest and friendliness. The only minus is very hard mattresses.

We vacationed as a family of 4. We took it because there were no places at the High View Hotel. The hotel is strange... By default, the room is not cleaned; you need to ask for it at the reception every time. The manager is a very friendly and positive elderly woman, apparently she had a good time at hippie festivals in her youth... When booking, I ordered a "beach view" bungalow, it cost $100 more than the "garden view", but in fact the bungalow was in the second row from the beach. It turned out that in order to be in the first row you had to choose a bungalow “on the beach”. Ok... I am attaching a photo with a view of the beach from the window... In such hotels you need to take the cheapest room on offer and not expect service at all, then it’s normal... Living like in a village in a shack near the sea. And there are many newer and modern hotels nearby with empty rooms of a completely different level, 20% more expensive. On the plus side, inexpensive laundry is 50 baht per kg and the cats that live there and come to the room in the evening to look for food and play, the children were happy with them.

Given that Koh Phangan is the island we preferred during our trip to the Gulf of Thailand, staying at the Seaboard made everything perfect. Suitable for those seeking tranquility and peace, the atmosphere is still typically Thai, something unfortunately rare on these over-exploited tourist islands. Our bungalow was clean and surrounded by a beautiful garden, cleaning is done on request. The restaurant is also excellent. The staff and the owner Paola, very kind and helpful.
