At first glance, I thought this hotel looked really nice. However, it didn’t take long to notice the flaws. Crack in the wall. Tear in the wallpaper. Outlet missing a cover. Floors felt very uneven. The wallpaper was not installed very well. Seams coming apart and patterns not matched. The TV in the bedroom did not work very well. The WiFi was sketchy. All in all, not the experience that I expect from a Hilton hotel. The only shining light was Ryleigh. She was super helpful. Keep her and fix the problems!

We had a one-bedroom suite which was spacious, clean and well laid out. Yet, it amazes me that most hotels are designed and operated by people who never travel and don't stay in hotels. The idea in the name of the place "Home 2" implies your stay will be as comfortable as home. Not so. Though I requested either a first-floor room or one on an upper floor near the elevator, we were given the room that was furthest from the elevator on an upper floor. Yes, it was the furthest room in the entire hotel from the elevator. I asked what she had closer to the elevator and was told by the receptionist that they were fully booked. I found that odd because when I called and asked if we could check in early, I was told that "our room was ready". Yes, whether booked or not, when we checked in there were only three cars in the parking lot so I'd think that many of those booked rooms were still vacant. Actually, we've found that the older and more crippled you are, the further they put you from the elevator. That makes you feel as comfortable as being home. We were not offered bottled water which is a normally a standard practice at Hilton owned hotels. Later when I asked for it the only response was "are you an Honors member?", as she pointed to the cooler door. Makes you feel like an honored guest doesn't it?! They do not have any luggage racks. Fortunately, we didn't use the table and chairs so we put our suitcase and other luggage on chairs. So, if you are a family and will need the chairs to sit on, bring your own luggage rack. In the lobby they appear to have what you might call basic cable TV which does have a few live broadcasts but no live sports significantly no Detroit Tiger games. In the room, however, all you get is what the TV was originally programmed with when it left the factory. No cable TV, just informercials, reality drama and old re-runs. The receptionist said she would send up the manager to see if he could assist with the TV but he/she never showed up. Feelin' like home? How about a great free breakfast? Though maybe not the worst ever, it certainly fell well short of what you'd get at a Hampton or a Best Western. No oranges, no banana's, no plain tea, just very pre-processed egg-like items to make a breakfast sandwich out of. Maximus was friendly and did his best to help and even managed to come up with a pretty ripe banana and three tea bags (after digging through many boxes of tea, he found a new box that still had the three bags of Bigalow Breakfast tea in it). All the other boxes had lots of lemon, lime, mint, orange etc. but because regular tea is most popular, all the regular tea was gone. Again, the tea buyer obviously doesn't drink tea. They did have Nashville hot sauce when I asked for salsa but no Mexican style hot sauce or salsa. I believe this is the first hotel I've ever been to that doesn't stock it. We stayed three nights and none of the aforementioned items were re-st

Great Place to Stay
Room was very large and clean. Ammenties in the room and in the hotel were great. The breakfast had a little bit for everyone (no meat beyond eggs - FYI). Staff was very friendly. Hotel was quiet, despite a large high school group being in the hotel.
