We have stayed here twice before, in 2023 and 2024. I gave a good review in 2023, and things were pretty much the same in 2024. Unfortunately, the hotel seems to have deteriorated since then. The heating/air conditioning unit was missing its entire top section. I can't say whether it affected the performance, as the weather was cool and it never turned on. The room temp was comfortable enough without it. Then there was the TV. The remote was missing the battery compartment cover and the batteries were held in with scotch tape. It appeared that the batteries were dead since after multiple attempts I had to turn the TV on using the panel buttons. Could not change the channel or adjust the volume with the remote. So I took the remote to the front desk to get new batteries, where I was told there was nothing wrong with it. Did I point the remote at the TV? Well, yes, where else? Oh, you have to point it at the cable box (which was hidden on a dark shelf above the refrigerator, which froze our bottled water). Back to the room, where the remote did work except it wouldn't adjust the volume. I called the desk and the woman came to the room and fiddled with the remote and couldn't get it to adjust the volume either. Oh well, never mind. Except there was no sleep timer on the TV and when I tried to turn the TV off from the bed, guess what? Remote didn't work so I had to climb out of the warm bed to walk over and turn it off. Didn't bother to complain again. Speaking of the bed, there are no bedside lamps. The lights are perched on the top of a very high headboard, so unless you're an NBA player, you have to get out of bed to turn them on and off. Not to mention that at least in this room, the two lights on the king size bed are wired together so both sides have to be on or off. Very inconvenient. The bathroom was the worse for wear, and the shower head had a leak at the connection that sprays a tiny stream of water on you if you don't keep the curtain in front of you when you're adjusting the water temp. As far as I could tell, all of the dispensers--shampoo, body wash, hand soap and lotion, were either empty or rigged so that you had to work ridiculously hard to get the tiniest bit of product out. I did go to the desk and get some tiny soap bars (more like chips) to wash hands, but fortunately brought our own bath soap. Incidentally, the space between the big high square sink has not been cleaned for a long time and there were items in there that people had dropped behind. I pulled out one of the dresser drawers and found that some previous occupant had left behind about 5 Steve Madden panties, fortunately they looked unworn, and a bunch of plastic bags, but this is a red light that housekeeping doesn't check the drawers when cleaning after checkout. This could just as easily been nasty clothes or even food left in there. And...checkout time is 11:00 a.m., but our key cards had ceased to work long before that. Supposedly a hotel-wide problem wit
