Note eins

WAARDELOOS!!

Warme ontvangst & vlotte check in. Onze parkingplaats was gereserveerd want drukke weken hier. Personeel is super, vooral receptie.

Zeer spijtige zaak !

The room was freezing because the hotel had been closed for the previous 15 days and the hotel management had not thought to turn on the heating! Room not at all cozy and breakfast really not great, with reconstituted scrambled eggs in particular.

Hotel very well located. Near the sea and shops. Friendly staff. Very nice roof terrace bar when the weather is nice. An overall renovation of the rooms and corridors would be necessary.

We have stayed in Knokke many times, even at this hotel in the past. Sadly it is no longer the place it used to be. The only thing it has going for it is the location and attractive facade. But don’t be fooled. The rooms are tired, shabby and dirty. There was soap from the previous occupant left balancing on the shower gel in the bathroom. A layer of dust everywhere. Our towels actually had holes in them. The bathroom amenities were removed after day one and never replaced. The toilet roll is in a locked box on the wall and ran out very quickly. And the room was generally not very clean. But most alarming of all was the sticking plasters over the smoke alarm in the room!!! Also the very hazardous disable access from the car park. The front desk staff are extremely unhelpful. Both in person and on the phone. I think they actually hate the public. The hotel has the feel of a budget hotel on the motorway that you stay in to break up a journey. But it is a resort hotel and it is definitely not budget hotel prices , on top of the €240 room rate it is €25 per day to park your car and €16 per person for breakfast. The owners don’t seem to care about this hotel which is shame because it used to be so lovely and could be again. They are selling a book in reception for €50 celebrating 100 years of the hotel. I think they should read their own book and remind themselves of how the hotel used to be.
