Goldsborough Hall

Wonderful breakfast in the Orangery. Stayed one night in a great room overlooking the gardens which are one of the highlights 👌 The staff are very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Visited Goldsborough Hall for a friends wedding and stayed overnight on the wedding day in one of the ground floor garden rooms. Unfortunately didn't get much time to fully enjoy the room, but almost everything was wonderful (only downside for me is that the bed was a little too firm for my liking). All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food we had, both for the wedding and breakfast next day, was superb. The hall itself is a wonderful venue, and the gardens are lovely. We were fortunate enough to be able to spend some time walking around the grounds and kitchen garden on the day after the wedding on a beautiful sunny day.

What a superb place to stay, everything about it was fantastic, superb bedroom, great breakfast, gardens and surroundings are stunning, all the staff were very helpful and friendly, definitely the nicest place we have ever stayed

My Husband and I stayed at Goldsborough Hall overnight on route to our holiday in Northumberland. A beautiful stately home steeped in history and refurbished by the current owners Mark and Clare Oglesby to a very high standard in keeping with the era in which it was built. The house sits in beautiful grounds with stunning views over the countryside of Knaesborough, the flower gardens are a joy to see and with so much colour at the time of our visit. Goldsborough Hall itself is peaceful and relaxing, tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. We loved our room, the Wharton suite, which was light, and airy and luxurious, overlooking the gardens and countryside, our only regret was that we were staying for just one night. We did not dine at the Hall as dinner is not served on Monday evenings and this was the day of our visit, however we had an excellent meal at the nearby Tiger Inn. After a very comfortable night a scrumptious breakfast was served in the elegant Orangery, overlooking more gardens. Sadly our visit had come to an end though we hope very much to return one day. All of the staff at Goldsborough Hall were charming and welcoming, making our visit special and unforgettable. Goldsborough Hall is a very easy drive from the M1 motorway and a perfect place to stay if visiting Harewood House or the surrounding area, especially as the two houses have a historic connection.
