This hotel was in a great location, great service and awesome atmosphere! We even booked another night.
The hotel has two swimming pools, a decent restaurant as well as beach access. They also offer scooter rentals, as the hotel is located far from any major areas of civilisation(closest 7/11 is about 4kms away), a scooter is very useful to get around and affordable.
A word or caution though: The entire coastline on arrival was filthy, and we thought it was to be the case for the whole holiday, while the hotel made efforts to clear trash washing ashore it's kind of futile because there's so much in the water. This isn't the hotels fault and I'm led to believe it's a huge issue on this coast line. However, I am very happy to say on day 2 the water cleared up completely and was as clear as the ocean around Ko Samet!
Overall this hotel is a great choice for a few days of quiet beach relaxation.
We took a bus from Bangkok to ban phe then got a grab ( I never had issues using grab here or finding a car, as other travellers warned me would be the case)
One day I will return!

The hotel is old, but the owners and staff are doing everything possible to breathe new life into it. It is obvious that the facades of all the buildings have been updated, there are fresh chairs and sun loungers and many other small things. Quiet location right on the beach. Very hearty breakfasts. And delicious dishes from the menu in the restaurant. I give it a rating of 4 with a stretch.

Stayed in this Bandara Sea Resort for 2 days. We moved here from the Novotel next door. Actually, the prices of the two hotels are similar, but this hotel is terrible. There are only two swimming pools, and the one at the entrance of the restaurant looks very dirty. The room is not good except for the big bed. The air conditioner is very noisy. I fell asleep at 2 am one day and woke up at 6 am. Another day, it woke me up at 2 am in the middle of the night. The breakfast was very bad. On the first day, there was a menu with 5 or 6 varieties of fried eggs and fried rice. The taste was not good. Then there were 2 kinds of fruits, milk coffee and toast. On the second day, there were many people, so the single-point food became a buffet. It was really bad, especially compared with the Novotel next door. The hotel's various facilities were not good, so we went to the Novotel next door to play when we stayed here. In addition, the room hygiene was not good. When the front desk took us to check in, I saw with my own eyes that the paper towels on the ground were secretly picked up and thrown away.
