Schwarzer Adler Kitzbühel - Adults Only

I am writing this with a degree of sadness. I travel to Kitzbühel for skiing regularly and have stayed in this hotel on 3 or 4 previous occasions. In the past it was a fantastic hotel. One longstanding minor irritation is that there is a loud piano bar and I requested a room away from the bar based on previous experiences when I made this booking several months ago. This request was ignored and I was given a room directly above the bar. I was forced to sleep wearing noise cancelling headphones to drown out the noise. The major problem, however was the restaurant, both the quality of food and the service. As the week progressed the food service deteriorated and on one day there was a wait of an hour between courses. On our last evening the only edible course was a bowl of soup. The main course and dessert were returned to the kitchen uneaten. We suggested that the cost of that meal should be deducted from the bill but this did not happen. We asked to speak to the manager who was not available. We then asked if they could contact us the following day which they did not do. On balance this was a great hotel in the past but is nowhere near to being a 4 star superior hotel now. I will visit Kitzbühel again but will stay in one of the many other hotels.

We’ve enjoyed staying here in previous years but this year there seems to be a major problem with the hotel kitchen and restaurant. We stayed for 4 nights last week for a ski holiday and dinner was dreadful on each night, with poor quality and long delays in food being served. There was also very few staff at breakfast so were extremely slow in taking orders for coffee. Tables were left full of dirty dishes rather than being cleared instantly. This is very disappointing for a hotel that was previously very good. Will not be back.

A great cosy only adults boutique hotel in the heart of Kitzbühel . Few minutes walking from the train station . Please note that Kitzbuhel has three stations . The station near the hotel is the Hanekamm. The welcome was really warm and we were offered a glass of sparkling wine together with many information about the Christmas market , restaurants and other points of interest . The bellboy from Greece was really exceptional and also the Greek girl at the reception and her Spanish colleague. Room on 4 th floor was fantastic. A great view of the mountains. The room was super clean , with great lighting and comfy bed. Breakfast was great and also the service. The highlight of this boutique hotel is the roof top heated outdoor pool that you have to try . Spa is also super complete with indoor heat pool, all kinds of saunas, laconium , steam bath and many other facilities. I highly recommend this hotel and definitely we will be back . Kudos to Harrish hotels for such a fantastic product.

The rooftop swimming pool with the view is an hit. One not luxury moment: we asked to have a pooridge with oat milk or water (to replace the one with cow milk on the buffet/for allergy reasons). After 10 minutes, the waitress came back telling us that the cook doesn't want to prepare that for us.
