Experience what Bainbridge Island has to offer with a stay at our charming cottage.Located just minutes from Lynnwood Center on Bainbridge Island, this quaint cottage is a dream. This 2-story cottage offers a wooded getaway with modern comforts and amenities. Because we open up our property for short periods during the year, please note that during the December/January holidays we have a 14-night minimum & we offer a month-stay discount. Please message us if you want to discuss. We will not be taking any short-stay bookings during the holiday season.The ground floor is an open floor plan offering a full kitchen, living room lounge area, dining area, a laundry room, and access to multiple outdoor spaces. The spacious second floor with vaulted wood ceilings offers a king bed, a full-size leather sofa for lounging, an office area, and a full bathroom. Our lovingly maintained cottage is located on a wooded acre adjacent to our home. You will see trees and greenery from every window. Parking is available directly adjacent to the cottage with easy access to the front door - just 2 steps up. On the back of the cottage is a large outdoor deck. Guests of our cottage will enjoy the feeling of being in the woods with all the urban conveniences of Bainbridge just minutes away. If you are not feeling up for driving to trails, there are trail heads just a few minutes away on foot from the property. Otherwise, great hiking trails are as close as a 5 minute drive. Bloedel Reserve, which is one of the furthest attractions on the island, is about a 20 minute drive. Winslow, the main town area and ferry terminal, is a 10-15 minute drive. Lynwood center is a 4-minute drive and boasts a great range of offerings: casual dining, cafes, a bakery/shop, cocktail bar, and even a movie theater!The cottage can be booked at the base rate for 1 or 2 adult guests. To book additional adult guests, there is a per-person charge with a maximum of three (3) adults. Please let us know if you are traveling with children. We allow dogs - there is a single fee, please make sure to book with the dog noted.This is our home that we open up to guests a few weeks/months of the year - so the interior fittings are nice quality. We take pride in our home and we believe you will love it too.Please note: our cottage does not have a TV. We offer the use of our dedicated comcast business high speed internet during your stay. For your convenience, we offer the use of a Gauva travel crib with sheets + a high chair with tray for our guests staying with babies (we have one of each item). One of the most unique properties on Bainbridge Island. This rustic log cabin is the perfect writer’s retreat or family adventure! It was originally built in the 1930’s and barged to its current location in October 1962 in the middle of Seattle’s only hurricane! Located on the west side of Bainbridge Island just feet from the beach, it has an incredible stone fireplace, fully appointed kitchen, and new washer/dryer. The Cabin sleeps 8 with a primary bedroom and ensuite, an alcove bedroom with a queen bed and a separate loft that sleeps 4 with two twins and a double bed. It also has a second bathroom. Its expansive wraparound deck lets you enjoy fantastic views of the Olympics and Port Orchard Bay. Watch eagles and Osprey soar above, deer nibbling in the gardens or see the occasional seals, sea lions or otters frolicking in the water. Ready to take a walk on the beach? You can head right towards Battle Point or left towards Fletcher Bay. If the tide is out head down to “The Big Rock” and see amazing sea life living on it. Weather permitting, paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, or your favorite floating devices can be launched from the private ramp. Bundle up and break out the smores to gather around the private outdoor beachside firepit. Sadly, clam digging is no longer allowed due to biotoxins affecting butter and varnish clams. There are 5 terrific wineries on the Island less than 6 miles away. and distilleries and breweries less than 5 miles. We’re just a 35-minute ferry ride from Seattle or 30-minute ride from Edmonds.
