"Stayed here for my hike from jinshanling to gubeikou. The location itself is great for visiting this section of the great wall. With just a short hike up the street you will reach the ticket office. Alternatively a driver could also be arranged. After arriving the host immediately welcomed me. He also speaks english and was very helpful in planning my hike and sunrise photography. Overall a really nice and welcoming service. The room itself was very modern and comfortable. Nothing really to complain about. A huge plus was also the restaurant next door. Really great food with local ingredients."

"We hiked the Great Wall of China from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and chose this hotel to rest after the day. The accommodation is ideally located, right next to the entrance gate to the Wall. The host was very welcoming, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All the beautiful photos you see of his establishment were taken by the host himself! Since we were there during the off-season and most shops were closed, the host offered to cook dinner and breakfast for us. He is a delicious cook. He also offers taxi services and was able to take us to Gubeikou train station the next morning for our return trip to Beijing. We are extremely grateful for this wonderful stay in Jinshanling and would gladly return!"

"We stayed one night at Jinshanling Hanting B&B, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the Great Wall. It’s the perfect spot to catch both sunrise and sunset; the wall opened at 5 a.m. when we visited in early November. Breakfast was included, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend staying overnight for the better light and calmer atmosphere instead of doing a day trip. There’s also a great café nearby. To find the place: walk to the entrance gate, turn right, and it’s on the right side after about 30–50 meters."

"I lived in a homestay. After booking the room, add the host WeChat and contact. Introduce it to the person in the reception center of the hotel. The contact person in this reception center is a bit awkward. I will call my brother for a while, and then call my sister for a while. Then I will say how you will check in tomorrow. I said that I will check in this afternoon! Really confused! The next morning I was turning outside, and I sent me a message and checked out before 11 o'clock. As soon as I checked the order, it said that I checked out at 12 o'clock, and asked him what happened? Answer: OK. You are really good enough! I can't say that this person's service attitude is not good, can say that he is a confused, work is not concerned people!"
