Ufanisi Resort

I really enjoyed this resort. I was in Kisii for work and stayed with colleagues at Ufanisi. The resort is very earthy and I loved all the trees and the quiet and peacful setting. The bedrooms are very basic, not fancy, but felt clean and very safe and the hotel was quiet, well equipped and great spot for our meetings. The staff was the kindest and most attentive I have experienced anywhere. I enjoyed the food and service, and really liked the outside seating available. We ate all our evening meals outside and it was lovely.

The ambience is lovely, close to the city but the greenery around the hotel makes it a little haven of peace. The staff were so very friendly, especially Isiah at the reception, Maureen who took us to our room etc. The rooms were both spacious and clean with all amenities. The dinner menu was extensive and our food came quickly. The breakfast buffet was vast and varied. Every request we made was happily responded to. It certainly is a place that I would revisit if I am back in that area.

Ufanisi Resort in Kisii is a very pleasant place. I have been here several times and staying here this week and I can tell you it has always been fun and refreshing. The forest theme all over makes it looks so natural and provide very fresh air. It is quite and calm at all times. The staff are courteous and always very supportive. They have good facilities, may not be said to be top notch but good enough for a comfortable stay. Their rooms are clean, well carpeted and beds are comfortable. I would recomends it any time. Just a slight improvement needed on consistency of their electricity supply. Keeps going off and on and is disruptive especially when making presentations in a training or workshop. Work on this and and i would give a five star.

Ufanisi Resort features a lush garden with buildings set amongst the trees along an inviting pathway. The staff are friendly and professional. Checkin was quick and easy. Rooms are clean with the basics and a few luxuries such as robes, extra toiletries and a coffee/tea station. However, the rooms lack air conditioning and window screens and not all rooms have mosquito nets, which are a necessity. I would have given an additional star were it not for an extremely loud dance party in the restaurant courtyard on the Friday night I arrived which went on until 4AM. It was impossible to sleep despite closing all windows and putting in earplugs. Apparently this happens every Friday so do not book a stay that included a Friday unless you want to dance the night away.

Ufanisi Is within town very accessible. You will love the ample parking space. The place is clean & gorgeous. The path to the pool is surrounded by beautiful vegetation feels like walking from a town into a forest. The pool is gorgeous. The food was amazing. I would recommend the place 100% for picnics dates and probably a wedding venue. I enjoyed my vacation there.
