Loved the place, staff very welcoming and down to earth. We were here as a group of 4 doing a motorcycle tour and they let us take the bikes to a secure area overnight. Rooms were huge, well equipped and very clean. Bed was really comfy. We didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment, but the pints in the bar were perfect, you can tell they take pride in pouring a decent pint, good prices too.

Lovely two night stay. We had one of the refurbished rooms with a sea view. The room was beautifully presented with a four poster bed and great windows. The bathroom was modern and had a roll top bath. Dylan and his colleagues were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us enjoy our stay. Parts of the hotel need bringing up to date - a work in progress.

Staff lovely and all rooms different. Some quirky and some traditional. Best to pay extra and get a nice room with a view at front.

Had a great day and night at The Royal Marine. Attended a superb wedding celebration. Staff were welcoming and very attentive. Comfy bed and room. Great breakfast. Fantastic view over the harbour and Clyde. Well done to Dylan and his superb team. We will be back.

The hotel is full of character and the owners work so hard to make guests feel welcome. The area was great for walks and we drove to Ardentinny to a lovely wee beach. The views are lovely and having a drink on the lawn in the evening was great will definitely return.

My wife and a friend had an overnight here our last stay here being in 2019. We knew what to expect and weren’t disappointed. Daren showed us to our room, the Arran suite and it was simply stunning. The bathroom was to Gleneagles standard as was the bedroom. Darren sled us if everything was to our satisfaction every time he saw us. Unfortunately there was no chef that night but Darren said we could order a local carry out for dinner which we did and it was delivered directly to our room. The room overlooked the ferry terminal which gave us a very exciting view. Breakfast was amazing. We have booked to return in a months time. A great night.

Lovely stay in this hotel, right opposite the Western Ferries terminal so if you get a sea-view room you can sit and watch a really slick ferry operation - CalMac take note. The room was beautifully appointed with traditional (antique) furnishings, plus some modern twists too. The owner/manager was very helpful, all in all a lucky find and we will be back.
