Phenomenal experience. Look no further, this IS the place. I can't say enough amazing things about this property and the hosts. Our team traveled from Bermuda to compete in the island games and had the ultimate week. A stunning award winning renovated property that I miss already! A perfect location for us and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Over and above every single day and we couldn't be more thankful. More to the point, a beautiful family and a genuine feel to the place that separates it from all of my previous travels. They made us feel so welcome from minute 1 and we leave Orkney with incredible memories of our stay and their whole family as new friends. Superb in every way and can't wait to return.

Exceptional hospitality, lovely room with super comfy kingsize bed, bathroom spotless and powerful hot shower. Dietary needs met in full - much appreciated. Albert and Aileen have achieved very high standards and this is now our benchmark for other places to stay! Location is excellent - 2’ drive or 15’ walk into Kirkwall.

The family is lovely and very helpful; they are locals who know the area well and can provide great tips on what to do in Kirkwall and the surrounding area. The facilities are newly renovated and quite modern. We did the continental breakfast; they have a menu you fill out the night before which is great for reducing waste. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and more than enough to keep us going for a long day of exploring the islands. Our room was clean and well equipped and the beds were comfortable. They are located about a kilometre outside of the city centre so if you are travelling without a vehicle be prepared for a little bit of a walk into town.

Comfy bed and a cosy room. A Lovely bathroom. Great breakfast selection with hot food option. Attentive host. A little far out of town for two ladies with dodgy knees, however only a fifteen minute walk- so we were told 😂 Unseasonably warm and sunny weather made the trip memorable Suggest a fan in the room for future use

Really nice place, clean tidy, Very accommodating and welcoming. Rooms are spacious, Modern and have great ensuites. Cooked food in the morning is nice and fresh. Good choice and options. The island is immaculate so clean and tidy. Would stay again.
