What a gorgeous B&B with an amazing view. Had such a brilliant time this weekend..Gemma and the team were so lovely and made us feel so welcome. The food was beautiful. The room we stayed in was spot on, we had such a beautiful view overlooking the moors. We will definitely be coming back in the future

Our party of 8 have been here 3 times this week for dinner, working our way through the menu, and each time have been more than satisfied. The food is very good, hot, and plenty of it. The staff are very welcoming and cheerful, and there was a cosy feel about the place. It is always busy, so best to book in advance.

The Black Bull is in a quiet rural location. That the restaurant was busy with locals says it all really. All staff were great - we were made to feel very welcome, and service was friendly and professional throughout. Food was first rate and portions were more than enough for us. An excellent place if your touring/hiking east or west of the M6 and want to avoid the hordes in the Lake District!

We came here following a recommendation from the accommodation we were staying at locally and we are so glad we came! We came as a party of 15 for sunday lunch. Booking was easy including some last minute changes and Gemma was accommodating to provide chicken as a sunday lunch for one of our diners which isn’t part of the usual menu set up. The food was so tasty and hot coming out of the kitchen. Everyone remarked that the food was of great quality and taste and all large portions, making this amazing value for money. I had the nut roast and it was the best I have ever had before. Gemma and the team were all very friendly and helpful on the day. Service was prompt considering how busy it was too. We would definitely recommend this place again and if ever in the area would come again.

We stayed at the Black Bull exactly 10 years ago and enjoyed ourselves that much we had to return. Notwithstanding a change of ownership we were pleased to find the same high standards we remembered. There is nothing we can add to the positive comments other reviewers have left with regard to the staff, room, breakfast, evening meal - and beers.

Black Bull Nateby 2 star food hygiene rating needs improvement that just tells me it a dirty place like I’ve said in a previous review. But you can’t escape the truth now. So not perfect like you keep saying your establishment is. Standards obviously slipped

Everything about The Black Bull is excellent. Great rooms, lovely and clean, comfy beds, fantastic views, brilliant friendly staff. The food is second to none. Definately stay again. The little village location just adds to the experience.

We went for food. A It was absolutely amazing. The pub was clean, service was fast, friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. They have nice warm home cooked food. The pub is warm and cosy. It is great value for money. Nice outdoor beer garden with great views.

The point is you can’t accept that anything could be wrong with your establishment and any criticism or negativity is not something you can accept and you feel the need to react the way you do. I only respond based on the expierence I’ve had. Maybe you need to learn to accept the occasional bad review
