My girlfriend and I stayed at the Ibis Styles Hotel in Gelsenkirchen while we were in town to watch the HSV match — and it turned out to be a great choice for the trip. The location is super convenient, right across from the main train station, so getting to the stadium and around the city was a breeze.

Für ein so günstiges Hotel absolut in Ordnung. Geräuschkulisse selbst bei offenem Fenster moderat - trotz direkter Nähe zum Hbf. Frühstück war ebnso völlig in Ordnung, Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeitenden ebenso. Wenn man schon nach Gelsenkirchen muss, dann hier übernachten. Sonst Gelsenkirchen meiden! ;)

Wir hatten leider kein Glück mit den Nachbarn. Es lief ständig ab 06:00 Uhr jemand raus zum Rauchen oder ging zum Frühstück und kam nach kurzer Zeit wieder. Das wiederholte sich leider mehrmalig, aber das Problem war, das man die Türen nicht leise schließen konnte, daher lag ich zwischen 06:00 Uhr und 09:00 Uhr wach im Bett. Dann waren die Handtücher leider nicht sauber (flecken) und im Zimmer roch es nach abgestandener Luft, daher lüfteten wir erst mal eine halbe Stunde. Das Personal war sehr nett und das Frühstück war ok, daher war es allen in allem befriedigend.

Es gibt eigentlich nicht viel auszusetzen ausser vielleicht dass beim Frühstücksbuffet vieles leer war und man eigentlich immer warten oder fragen musste.
